It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m your resident party host and Guiding Light, Doug. Are you ready to talk about pro wrestling? Let’s do this.

Pat McAfee will be returning to WWE Raw full-time very soon, most likely after the move to Netflix. Will you be glad to see him return?

I will. McAfee adds some unpredictability to every broadcast, plus his chemistry with Micheal Cole is great. It’s obvious that Cole & McAfee are really friends and play off each other so well. McAfee has a personality that is different than every other WWE announcer and adds a great deal to every show.

Kazuchika Okada versus The Great Muta. Who wins?

Okada has a great reputation and is a tremendous wrestler when used properly. That being said, the Great Muta is a legend and the word Great is even part of his name. The Great Muta wins.

What are your thoughts on The Iron Savages?

I’ve seen them wrestle on AEW and they’re not bad, but I don’t see anything special about this team. Boulder & Bronson work well together and with the proper booking, could be an impressive team. They’re essentially the High Voltage of AEW. If you remember the team of High Voltage in WCW, that’s not a compliment.

Thunder Rosa versus Molly Holly. Who wins?

Two talented women with two very distinct characters and styles. It’d be an interesting match and fun to watch these two women interact. Molly would make Rosa work for it, but Rosa would get the victory here.

Ricochet says AEW wouldn’t even exist without him. “If there wasn’t Ricochet, there would not be AEW. Without Ricochet, there’d be no Ospreay, really, you know what I’m saying? I feel like what I have done in my past career helps set up a world where AEW can’t exist, you know?” Thoughts?

Either Ricochet is delusional or he’s working an angle to turn heel. Either way, it’s a work in progress.

Who do you side with in the current situation with The New Day
Big E or Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods?

It may sound wrong, but I’m with Kofi and Woods on this one. Big E never needed surgery, so why has it taken him so long to offer to be the manager for his friends? Kofi and Woods were wrestling every week while Big E was off doing his own thing with not a care in the world about his friends. What kind of friend does that?

Where is Scorpio Sky?

Scorpio Sky is under contract with AEW but hasn’t been on AEW/ROH television since August 2023. He has worked some independent shows in California as recently as this past month, but AEW seems to have just forgotten he’s part of their roster.

Can you name 5 wrestlers who are NOT former World Champions who are better than Jon Moxley?

Easily. Arn Anderson, The Masked Superstar, Bobby Eaton, Dutch Mantell, and Wahoo McDaniel all immediately come to mind.

How far away is TNA from overtaking AEW and becoming the #2 promotion in the United States?

Live attendance at TNA events is up, and the television is strong with consistent and creative stories and wrestling. If TNA were to find a more popular outlet or streaming service than their current home at AXS, they would easily move into the Number 2 spot. That’s the only thing holding them back from that position.

Bret Hart recently made claims that three wrestlers were all about themselves and never passed the torch. He cited Hulk Hogan, Jake Roberts, and The Ultimate Warrior. Is Bret right or is this just more sour grapes from The Best there is, was, and ever will be?

And who exactly did Bret Hart pass the torch to? The Warrior and Hogan? He’s right. But didn’t Steve Austin’s rise to superstardom begin with a victory and promo over Jake Roberts? And to be honest, Roberts was not in any condition to pass anything to anyone. But back to Bret. He’s just harping on nothing and complaining as he always does. Bret’s complaining about others for something he never did either.

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And with that, I’m out of here for now. Take care and be well, my friends. I’ll see you at the matches.

Ubuntu!
