Demolition or The Road Warriors?

While the Road Warriors were the originals and Demolition was considered the WWE ripoff version, look at who Demolition was. Bill Eadie, aka The Masked Superstar, and Barry Darsow, aka Krusher Kruschev. Two wrestling icons in their own right. And in terms of in-ring styles, the two teams were nothing alike. The Road Warriors had the reputation and mystique, but Eadie & Darsow were the better wrestlers and the better team. So my pick? Demolition.

What is your favorite thing in pro wrestling when it comes to how you view wrestling?

I like the story of good versus bad with a lot of gray areas added for good measure. Wrestling is the escape, the soap opera and escape from real life, through great characters and athletic competition. It’s the perfect break from the hell that is real life. I think that’s my favorite thing.

What do you think about Shinsuke Nakamura’s new character so far?

It’s darker and more mysterious than his previous incarnations. Shinsuke has managed to get his edge back and become interesting again. Good for him.

Who are your top 5 WWE superstars of all time?

This changes all the time, but right now, off the top of my head, I’d say Ric Flair, Masked Superstar, The Undertaker, Harley Race, and Jim Cornette.

You have to put together a 5 match PLE. Any wrestlers, from any time, are available. What do you book?

This will be very random, but five of my favorite Dream Matches. Harley Race defends the NWA Championship versus Triple H with special referee Ric Flair. The Undertaker versus Sting. The Midnight Express w/ Jim Cornette versus The Rock & Roll Express versus The Hardy Boys versus Edge & Christian in a Fatal-4 Way Ladder Match. The Masked Superstar versus CM Punk w/ Paul Heyman. Elimination Match: Ivory, Victoria, Trish Stratus, Molly Holly, and Sherri Martel versus Tiffany Stratton, Asuka, Rhea Ripley, Charlotte Flair, and Bayley. And it’s not a match, but a special edition of Piper’s Pit with Hulk Hogan & Brock Lesnar.

After being so over as a heel, how do you think Dominik Mysterio will be as a face?

When Liv eventually turns on Dom and he reunites with his deadbeat Dad, Rey Mysterio, and reunites, mending fences with Mami, I hope WWE is in a stadium because the fan response is going to blow the roof off of the building. Dom has been amazing at every role he’s been given, far exceeding expectations. As a babyface, I feel he’ll do exactly the same. Dom is going to be the World Champion someday.

Would Tiffany Stratton cashing in to become the first women’s IC champ be a good use of the briefcase or a bad one? It’s cashing in on a non-world title but might be cool to be the first.

It would be a historic move and probably work better for her character than going after either Liv or Nia at this point. I’d like to see her do it. Tiffany is good enough; she could definitely get that IC belt over and make the cash in for the title work.

Where does Kenny Omega rank as one of the best pro wrestlers ever?

When Kenny can stay healthy and work against a solid wrestler, he’s pretty good. The trick with Kenny is to get him out of his comfort zone and give him a challenge. He’s not one of my favorites, but I could see an argument for him in the Top 25.

What wrestling match type that hasn’t been used in a while would you like to see make a return?

It’s too bad there aren’t any Russians out there wrestling these days, but I always enjoyed the Russian Chain Match. I witnessed Ivan Koloff and Jimmy Valiant have many of these matches and it was always entertaining and fun to watch.

Will we see a world championship run by Punk & Cena in 2025?

For at least one of these men, yes. Cena doesn’t need another World Championship. Punk does this to finish his story.
