I’m Doug and this is the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. Let’s roll.

What are your thoughts on all of the injuries racked up from WWE Survivor Series 2024?

Well, it’s professional wrestling and not ballroom dancing. Injuries happen and in an environment such as War Games, it’s to be expected. Here’s wishing all of those injured a speedy and painless recovery.

What do you think about the Netflix WWE RAW show maintaining its PG rating?

It’s common sense and good business. WWE doesn’t want to drive away any advertisers or sponsors due to foul language, and besides, excessive profanity is just cheap heat. The WWE talents, for the most part, don’t need to resort to that. They’re good enough already.

For any wrestlers that you’ve met, have any made you feel “don’t meet your heroes” vibes?

Ric Flair and Sable immediately to mind. Sable was miserable when I met her and it was obvious she didn’t want to be there. Flair was condescending at best. Some would say rude. Maybe it was just a bad day? But it wasn’t a good experience. But on the other hand, some of the other wrestlers I’ve met, like Greg Valentine, Baby Doll, The Rock & Roll Express, Ivan Koloff, The Hardys, Shannon Moore, Kronik, and surprisingly, Jamie Noble, were all great, polite, and it was very good experiences.

Do you think that Eric Bischoff’s NXT appearances will have any impact?

Bischoff’s appearance on NXT didn’t have much of an impact on the ratings, but it was still a cool moment and they beat AEW in the ratings for the week so it wasn’t all bad either.

What are your thoughts about the New Day angle?

I like it. I didn’t see this coming with the turn on Big E, but it makes sense and I can identify with Kofi & Woods for their reasoning. I am very interested in seeing where this is going.

Thoughts on Jesse “the Body” Ventura” commentating on Saturday Night’s Main Event?

It wouldn’t be Saturday Night’s Main Event without Jesse there. I’m glad to see the Governor make a return to the WWE. I know he hasn’t done wrestling commentary in a while, but I’m sure he’s ready to go. It’s good to see The Body back.

Ole Anderson & Stan Hansen versus Jacob Fatu & Bronson Reed. Who wins?

What a stiff and brutal match this would be. Fatu and Reed would make an impressive tag team and would run over everyone… except. I had the honor and pleasure of seeing Hansen and Ole team up many times back in the Crockett days. They’re so good as a team and I can’t see them backing up for anyone, even a team like Fatu & Reed. I think Ole and Stan would win.

Ridge Holland versus Wahoo McDaniel. Who wins?

I was very impressed by Ridge Holland at NXT Deadl1ne this past weekend. The guy has improved so much since going back to NXT from the main roster. He’s the NXT equivalent of Drew McIntyre. And what can we say about Wahoo? A wily veteran with chops that can put Gunther to shame. What a match this would be. I think Holland should win.

Who was never the NWA Champion, but should have been?

The names that immediately come to mind are Magnum TA, who was penciled in for the belt before his car accident, Wahoo McDaniel, who would have made a great short-term champion, and David Von Erich. Of all of the Von Erich brothers, he was easily the best one and best wrestler.

Thoughts on Damien Demento?

I really don’t have any. I saw him wrestle maybe twice, both times on TV. He had a weird look, but despite the character, didn’t stand out to me or catch my attention, He was just another mid-card character who looked kooky. Nothing more and nothing less.

And there you go. I guess it’s time to call it a night. My eyes are closing. Thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. I’ll see you later.
