It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug. Let’s roll.
Would you like to see Kevin Owens win The WWE Undisputed Championship?
Sure. Why not? A heel Kevin Owens is always fun to see, and Cody’s reign needs a little something to shake things up. Cody has been a good champion, but things have gotten a bit stale and vanilla as of late. A switch with Owens would be a good way to do it.
Who should be John Cena’s last-ever opponent in WWE?
The obvious answer would be Randy Orton, but the news that Heath Slater wants to bring back The Nexus, that changes things. Since we all know that Cena was responsible for burying The Nexus and bringing an end to that faction, how about a little revenge? How about for the final opponent, or shall we say opponents, a Gauntlet Match with The Nexus? Cena versus Heath, Curtis Axel, Darren Young, Justin Gabriel, and Michael Tarver with David Otunga as their manager? And the Nexus wins to start their campaign to dominate the WWE. John Cena gets a receipt for burying the Nexus so many years ago and The Nexus gets a fresh start in the WWE. Works for me.
What are your thoughts and memories of Jim The Anvil Neidhart?
The Anvil was a solid wrestler but purely a second banana all the way. That’s not to disrespect Neidhart because he was a great tag team wrestler. I mainly know him from his time in WCW and WWE, but he had a solid career in Canada, Japan, and all over the United States before being paired up with Bret Hart to form one of the all-time great tag teams, The Hart Foundation. The legacy lives on today with Neidhart’s daughter, Natalya in WWE. A true legend and icon.
Chris Van Vliet recently asked his followers on X who they’d like to see him interview. Who would be your top 5 picks?
Jim Cornette is the most obvious pick. An interview with Chris talking to Cornette would be amazing. My other choices? Lisa “Ivory” Moretti, Brock Lesnar, Jamie Noble, and Ed Wiskoski, aka Col. DeBeers.
Baby Doll on a Pole Match: Larry Zbyszko versus Tully Blanchard. Who wins?
What a match this would be with two of the best heels in wrestling fighting for the attention of the lovely Perfect Ten. How would this go? Tully and Larry would be in the ring, arguing. Baby Doll would be there, trying to get Larry & Tully to stop fighting. Dusty Rhodes comes out to rescue Baby Doll from this situation. Zbyszko and Blanchard both turn on Dusty as he’s distracted by Baby Doll and stomp a mudhole in him. The match is a no-contest, but Larry, Tully, and Baby Doll all leave together while Dusty is left battered and injured in the ring.
Don Muraco versus Kevin Owens. Who wins?
The Rock versus The Prize Fighter. What a match this would be. Both men are so good, but this would be an interesting clash of styles. It’s a tough call, but I think Owens would get the win.
When the Rock is inevitably inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, who should induct him?
It’s a tough call, but maybe Roman Reigns? Triple H would be a great choice as well. Or hell, the perfect choice. WWE President and The Rock’s childhood friend, Tony Khan. There you go. The perfect option.
And there you go. We’re a few questions shorter than usual tonight, but I’m getting tired so I decided to cut it short. My apologies. But it is what it is. Thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And with that, I’m closing up for the day. Stay well, my friends and I’ll see you next time.
