I’m Doug and this is the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. Let’s do this.

Do you think Tiffany Stratton will cash in before Wrestlemania 41?

I think Tiffany will cash in when she’s ready. We have a long way to go before WrestleMania with two PLE events, two editions of Saturday Night’s Main Event, and plenty of editions of RAW and Smackdown including the RAW debut on Netflix. There are plenty of opportunities for Tiffany to make it Tiffy Time before Mania happens.

While in WWE, Bobby Lashley pitched forming a tag team with Brock Lesnar and winning the tag team titles together. Thoughts?

That would be a great team, but honestly, who could compete against them or beat them? Brock and Bobby as a team and then opponents would have been big money in my opinion. I’m surprised that WWE didn’t go for it.

The Undertaker says he has zero interest in joining WWE commentary: “They’ve got it the absolute worst”. Thoughts?

I can’t blame Undertaker for not wanting to do commentary. Taker is getting good at coming out of his shell and talking publicly with the podcast, but to expect Taker to be The Undertaker, a character who rarely spoke, to be a commentator? That would be crazy and a bit too much to expect or ask.

TKO COO Mark Shapiro states there’s definitely an opportunity to expand WWE PPVs to 2 nights, following the change for WrestleMania & SummerSlam. Thoughts?

I can see doing the two nights for SummerSlam and WrestleMania, but any other shows? That’s just getting greedy and expecting too much. It’s an idea, but Shapiro should ignore the temptation for now.

Britt Baker reportedly “stormed” into the front office and said this: “Either give me my well-deserved push or release me”. This is according to Fightful. Thoughts?

It may have happened, but so far, I’ve yet to see this reported anywhere else. I can understand Britt being unhappy with her lack of push, plus having to work in the same company with her ex, Adam Cole. I’m sure she’s not a happy camper. But to storm the office and show her butt? That’s a bit unprofessional and I can’t see Baker doing that. I doubt it happened that way. It just doesn’t sound right.

Nia Jax versus Sherri Martel. Who wins?

Nia is so much bigger than Sherri and would probably dominate most of the match, but Sherri is faster, sneakier, and the better wrestler. Sherri would get the victory.

Rey Fenix said, “I needed a doctor and you ignored me for months.” Remember when CM Punk said the same thing in the interview with Ariel Helwani? He had to arrange and pay for his own surgeries and didn’t talk to anyone in AEW for six months despite his injuries coming from wrestling on an AEW PPV. Thoughts?

This seems to be a common pattern with AEW. So long as you’re one of Tony’s favorites, they’ll do anything for you, but if Tony gets happy or distracted by someone else, you’re S.O.L. and we all know what that means. We all keep hearing about what a nice guy Tony is, but he’s a poor businessman or leader. There is no structure in AEW and stories like this prove it.

What is your favorite match you’ve ever seen live and in person?

Two matches come to mind. Ethan Storm versus Michael Youngblood in Durham, NC way back nearly twenty-five years ago. We, Mike, Storm, and I, rode together to the show. Those two beat the shit out of each other, and then we all rode home together, which is a story and adventure in itself. But it was a damn good match and one I’ll never forget.

If you had to pick ONE person who is the KING of the ladder match, who would that be?

He’s already an Indy God and the Deathmatch King. I think Matt Cardona deserves the honors. Remember Wrestlemania 32 when Zack Ryder entered a seven-match Ladder Match to win the Intercontinental Championship? No one expected Ryder to win. He did. And thus, the King of the Ladder Match was born.

What are your thoughts and memories of Captain Lou Albano?

Loud, boisterous, and wild, and when it comes to tag team champions, probably the best wrestling manager in WWE of his time. Captain Lou probably overstayed his time in wrestling and by the end of his career was a shadow of himself. Albano was a groundbreaker in his friendship with Cyndi Lauper and was a large part of the so-called Rock & Wrestling Connection. A true wrestling legend and icon.

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Questions, comments, and thoughts are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And with that, let’s wrap things up. Take care and be well, my friends. Watch out for foreign objects and I’ll see you at the matches.
