I’m Doug, and this is a rushed edition of the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. Let’s get right to it, shall we? And away we go.

PWI ranked Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill as the greatest tag team in pro wrestling in 2024. Thoughts?

PWI is just looking to stir the pot and get some magazine sales by being controversial. While Jade and Bianca are a decent team, they are more image than actual in-ring ability. I can easily think of a dozen better teams. This is just something by PWI to get people to talk.

Do you want to see Finn Balor as the WWE World Heavyweight Champion?

I wouldn’t mind seeing him with the belt again at some point, but I don’t want to see it at the expense of Gunther. Unless they just hot-shot the belt and Gunther gets it back a week later, this isn’t the time for Finn yet.

GCW tells Fightful Select that AEW has pulled Willie Mack from their upcoming GCW shows. Why do you think AEW is pulling their stars from GCW shows? Thoughts?

AEW is pulling their talent from GCW shows because Effy hurt Tony Khan’s feelings and when it comes down to it, Tony is a petty man and takes it personally. I just wonder if Moxley wanted to take a match with GCW, what would Tony say? Does the ban affect every AEW wrestler or just the little guys?

WWE has launched a new ‘Join The Alpha Academy’ website. What wrestlers would you like to see joining Akira Tozawa, Otis, and Maxxine Dupri as part of that faction?

Apollo Crews would make a good fit. Maybe since Chase U has been disbanded in NXT, Andre Chase or Jacy Jayne could join the main roster as members? And hell, there is always R-Truth.

Who is CM Punk’s greatest rival?

This is a tough call because Drew McIntyre, Triple H, and Seth Rollins could all be possibilities. The Elite from AEW is worth mentioning, as is Samoa Joe. But the greatest? Let’s go with John Cena.

Has the Final Testament grown on you?

I’ve enjoyed the recent interactions with Miz and The Wyatt Sicks, but I’m still kind of ‘eh about the Final Testament so far. They’re getting better in my opinion, but I can take them or leave them.

Dusty Rhodes versus Hulk Hogan. Who wins?

It would be a no-contest because neither of these men would want to lose. And if there had to be a winner, Hogan was the bigger star and bigger ego. Hogan would win.

Does the New Day story have the potential to be the next Bloodline?

The reaction from the fans as they booed Kofi and Woods on Monday was incredible. This story has legs and should be excellent. As good as The Bloodline saga? No, I don’t think so. But it has a long way to go and should be excellent.

Do you believe AEW Collision’s ratings will see significant improvement in the future?

Unless Tony reboots the entire company and hires a competent booker, I don’t see the ratings going up anytime soon.

Do you believe D-Von Dudley was one of the most compelling characters during his time in the industry?

Honestly, D-Von was always the second banana in my eyes to Bully Ray. D-Von got the tables, said testify, and what else? D-Von is a good wrestler and probably a very nice guy, but compelling is not a word I’d use to describe him.
