I’m Doug and this is the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. Let’s roll.

Do you think Matt Cardona is a good addition to AEW television?

I think Matt Cardona is a good addition to any wrestling promotion that he’s a part of, be it AEW, ROH, GCW, TNA, or the NWA. I’m surprised that WWE hasn’t signed him back up yet. Cardona is a talented wrestler with a great character, and a strong following, and can work anywhere with anyone. The Death Match King and Indy God are a valuable addition to any roster he joins. AEW is lucky to have him for a few appearances.

“No, I’m retired. I’m a dad, bro,” Logan said on Impaulsive when asked if he would be at WrestleMania 41. Do you think Logan Paul has retired from wrestling?

I think Logan Paul is being Logan Paul. While it’s true that he’s a new father and probably enjoying it a great deal, Paul loves to troll the fans. He’ll be back with WWE at the Rumble most likely and he’ll be there for WrestleMania.

WWE Hall of Famer Eric Bischoff said Dave Meltzer and Tony Khan are clowns who try to hide that AEW isn’t a failure. (on 83 Weeks). Thoughts?

Eric is 100% correct. What more needs to be said?

Toni Storm is back and seems to have dropped the “Timeless” character. Thoughts?

Storm has gone back to her original character, but look at her facial expressions and mannerisms. The Timeless Character was great and was over. I don’t think we’ve seen the last of it. I think we’ll see Toni combine both of her characters into a split-personality character so the opponents never know who they’re getting at any given time. It’s genius and evolving. I’m very interested in seeing how this goes.

Describe Nic Nemeth in three words or less.

Underrated superstar.

Name a tag team you wish would get back together.

They weren’t so much a regular tag team as a partnership and power duo, but I’m looking forward to the day when Rhea Ripley and Dominik Mysterio are reunited… as babyfaces. It’s coming.

Kevin Owens recently said he’d like to face Shawn Michaels in a match, but Michaels keeps saying no. Thoughts?

Shawn realizes that he’s not who he used to be and that he wouldn’t be able to live up to the hype of being HBK inside that ring anymore. I commend Owens for trying though and maybe it will happen one day, but I honestly think HBK will keep saying no. Too bad because The Prize Fighter versus The Heartbreak Kid would be a fun match to see.

What do you think about Carlos Silva stepping into the President role at Anthem Sports Group?

I have no idea who this guy is. He seems okay based on the news reports, but what does this mean for TNA? We’ll just have to wait and see.

What do you think about Jacob Fatu contacting Gangrel for permission to use the Impaler DDT?

Fatu is showing respect and doing it right. That Impact DDT is impressive as a finisher and would fit Jacon Fatu perfectly. It’s good to see he’s a Samoan Werewolf inside the ring, but a respectful student of the business outside of it.

How do you feel about Netflix’s limited offering of WWE content? Are you hoping for more classic wrestling content to be added?

The way I understand it, Netflix will offer WWE television and PLE events, but little more. Stuff like WCW, AWA, World Class, etc., will no longer be a part of the WWE package on Netflix. I hope that a new streaming platform can pick these up and we can still see this historical footage. Maybe they’ll figure something out and keep the past alive, but who knows? It sucks! We’ll just have to wait and see what happens.

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And with that, I’m out of here. Take care and be safe. I’ll see you at the matches.

Ubuntu!
