On Friday night, December 20, 2024, live from the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City, it’s Ring of Honor and Final Battle 2024. The event will air exclusively on ROH’s streaming service, Honor Club. And even though more people will probably read this than buy the event, that means it’s prediction time. Thirteen matches have been announced. This should be long. I’ll keep my comments and predictions short and to the point. Let’s roll.

Harley Cameron vs. Hanako.

Harley can kind of talk and knows how to shake her tits, but can she wrestle? I’m picking Hanako for the win in this one.

Winner: Hanako.

The Infantry (Carlie Bravo and Capt. Shawn Dean) with Trish Adora vs. The Undisputed Kingdom (Matt Taven and Mike Bennett).

This should be a good match. All of these guys can go in that ring. The Undisputed Kingdom will be at a disadvantage without their manager, Maria Kanellis, and I think that will be the difference maker for this match.

Winners: The Infantry (Carlie Bravo and Capt. Shawn Dean)

The Dark Order (Alex Reynolds and John Silver) vs. Grizzled Young Veterans (James Drake and Zack Gibson).

Logic and common sense say that the GYV should win this match. So, when have I ever used logic or common sense when talking about AEW/ROH? Evil Uno says the Dark Order will win. I’m siding with Evil Uno.

Winners: The Dark Order (Alex Reynolds and John Silver).

LEEJ (Lee Johnson and EJ Nduka) vs. Gates of Agony (Bishop Kaun and Toa Liona).

Here is another match that, if given enough time, could be the dark horse banger of the night. I’ve always been a fan of Lee Johnson so let’s go with LeeJ for the win.

Winners: LEEJ (Lee Johnson and EJ Nduka).

Texas Bullrope match for the ROH World Tag Team Championship.
The Sons of Texas (Dustin Rhodes and Sammy Guevara) (c) vs. The Righteous (Vincent and Dutch).

I had forgotten that Dustin and Sammy were champions. Dustin is allegedly working without a contract, while Sammy seems to constantly be in trouble with the bosses. I think we’re getting new champions.

Winners and NEW ROH Tag Team Champions: The Righteous (Vincent and Dutch).

Jay Lethal vs. Q. T. Marshall

Talk about a match that may steal the show, this one is certainly a contender. We all know how good Jay Lethal can be. QT Marshall is easily one of the most underrated wrestlers on the AEW roster. This match should be excellent. Look for Lethal to win.

Winner: Jay Lethal.

ROH Women’s World Television Championship
Red Velvet (c) vs. Leyla Hirsch.

A match for a television championship in a company that isn’t even on TV. Sounds right to me. Hirsch has impressed me every time I’ve seen her work. Velvet, not quite so much. We’re seeing a new champion.

Winner and NEW ROH Women’s Television Champion: Leyla Hirsch.

Pure wrestling rules match for the ROH Pure Championship
Lee Moriarty (c) vs. TBA.

It’s an open challenge for Moriarty and his ROH Pure Championship so it literally could be anyone. I’ll say Daniel Garcia accepts the challenge. And it doesn’t matter because Moriarty wins and keeps the gold.

Winner and STILL ROH Pure Champion: Lee Moriarty.

Survival of the Fittest match for the ROH World Television Championship
Brian Cage (c) vs. Willie Mack vs. Mark Davis vs. AR Fox vs. Blake Christian vs. Komander (with Alex Abrahantes).

There are a lot of good names in this match, but I think that the champion, Brian Cage is the most fitting survivor of all. Look for the champion to overcome the odds and retain his title.

Winner and STILL ROH World Television Champion: Brian Cage.

ROH World Championship
Chris Jericho (c) vs. Matt Cardona.

The Learning Tree versus The Deathmatch King and Indy God, Matt Cardona. These two have a history dating back to WWE and this should be a decent match. I smell an upset. Woo woo woo – you know it. Matt might go on The List, but he’ll have a new title belt to add to his impressive collection.

Winner and NEW ROH Champion: Matt Cardona.

Katsuyori Shibata vs. “Dynamite Kid” Tommy Billington.

I’ve only seen the new Dynamite Kid 2.0 wrestle twice before and I wasn’t impressed. He may share a name with his Uncle, but that is about it. Shibata is a good wrestler and as tough as they come. Shibata wins.

Winner: Katsuyori Shibata.

Mansoor (with Mason Madden) vs. Atlantis Jr.

I wish they’d bring Rico back, but even without him, I think they’ll still win. Look for Mansoor to get the victory.

Winner: Mansoor w/ Mason Madden.

ROH Women’s World Championship
Athena (c) vs. Billie Starkz.

Tony Khan was singing the praises of Billie Starkz all week so she’s one of his new favorites. But Athena just passed 600 Days as the ROH Women’s Champion so I don’t think she’ll lose the title in her first defense against Starkz. Expect a banger of a match to build up Starkz’s credibility and a rematch later down the road.

Winner and STILL ROH Women’s Champion: Athena.

And there you go with my predictions. What are yours? Let me know in the comments. Thanks for reading. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe to the site. I’m Doug and on that, I’ll see you later.
