I’m Doug, your resident Guiding Light and party host. This is the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. You ask and I answer. Let’s roll.

WWE has discussed introducing a Tribal Chief Championship into the storyline between Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa. Thoughts?

No, another championship is not needed by the WWE, even if it is an honorary title that can only be worn by two people. They already have the actual Ula Fala necklace itself so why would an additional belt be needed? Simple. It’s not!

Do you believe that Al Snow should be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame?

As a wrestler who had a great career in WWE and ECW, maybe. As the head trainer for Tough Enough, plus as the owner/booker for OVW, yes. So yes, Al Snow and Head deserve to be part of the WWE Hall of Fame. And Mick Foley would have to be the one to induct him.

Name 3 opponents you’d like to see John Cena face in 2025.

My three picks would be CM Punk to pay homage to their Summer of Punk match from SummerSlam 2011, Matt Cardona to get revenge for when Cena stole his girl, Eve Torres, and finally, R-Truth, giving Truth a chance to face his childhood hero.

Would you like to see Al Snow back on WWE television? What role do you think he could play in today’s WWE landscape?

Al is far too busy running OVW to be a regular for WWE these days, but if he were to come back for a role as a special guest referee, or maybe a guest trainer at the Performance Center, that would be pretty cool.

Would you like to see CM Punk and Dominik Mysterio clash again in the ring?

They’ve had two matches already, one at a house show when Punk first returned, and the second at Madison Square Garden when Punk made his return to MSG after a decade away. It’d be interesting to see them actually have a match on TV or at a PLE. Yes, I’d like to see it.

The Midnight Express (Stan Lane & Bobby Eaton) w/ Jim Cornette versus The British Bulldogs (Davey Boy Smith & Dynamite Kid) w/ Captain Lou Albano. Who wins?

The best part of this match would be watching Cornette interact with Captain Lou Albano. Both managers were outspoken and known for their wild antics so you know it’d be great. Inside the ring, a wrestling clinic would be taking place. I hate to say this, but the Bulldogs would probably win this one.

WWE has been making a lot of changes lately, so what one would you make?

Everything seems to be going well in WWE right now and on a positive track, so I can’t think of any major changes to make right now. What is the old cliche? If it’s not broken, don’t fix it. WWE is running well right now and going 100% on all gears. We need more Waller & Theory on TV, plus a strong return for Asuka, but aside from that, I’m good.

Do you want Matt Cardona to defeat Chris Jericho and sign with AEW?

I wouldn’t mind seeing Cardona defeat Jericho and become the ROH Champion. That would be cool to see Cardona with another title belt to add to his collection. But so far as signing with AEW goes, I think that would hinder his career more than it would help. In the past year, we’ve seen Cardona in AEW, ROH, TNA, GCW, and the NWA, He is truly an Indy God as he likes to say. If he signs with AEW, both TNA and the NWA are out of the picture. And so would be working with his wife, Chelsea Green, at any shows even if WWE was to agree. No more Twitter posts claiming to be one-half of the WWE Women’s United States Champion. Being All-Elite would handcuff Cardona’s character and career. He doesn’t need that.

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And with that, let’s wrap things up. I’ll see you at the matches. Be good, my friends.

Ubuntu!
