I’m Doug and this is the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. Are you ready? Let’s rock!

Is Shawn Michaels vs Bret Hart the greatest rivalry in wrestling history?

The best? Not really, so long as Austin versus McMahon, Dusty versus Ole, Dusty versus Flair, Lawler versus Dundee, Flair versus Sting, Tully versus Magnum TA, Wahoo versus Valentine, etc., all exist. It was a classic to be sure and a feud for the ages, but the best? There is way too much competition for that title.

One has to go, along with their entire legacy. Eddie Guerrero, Chris Jericho, Kurt Angle, or Rey Mysterio. Which one would you choose?

This one is tough, especially when the butterfly effect is figured in and what would or would not have happened without that particular wrestler’s influence. My first instinct was Rey, but without Rey, we have no Dominik and he’s one of the best characters in WWE today. I can’t say Jericho because I still put people on “The List” even to this day. Eddie’s influence involves Chavo, Vickie, the LWO, and so much more. I guess, by default, I’ll go with Kurt Angle. I don’t much like milk anyhow.

Lexis King defeated Charlie Dempsey for the NXT Heritage Cup after William Regal got his son disqualified. Thoughts?

What a twist. Regal tried to hand King brass knuckles to use against Dempsey. King refused and so instead, Regal nailed King with the power of the punch. As King went down, the brass knuckles went flying across the ring. Charlie Dempsey picked them up as the referee noticed King laid out. Then he noticed Dempsey with the brass knuckles and called for a DQ. The NXT Heritage Cup changes hands on a DQ and so King is the new champion. It was great storytelling and a cool finish for the match. So what’s up with Regal and who’s side is he on? Dempsey lost but didn’t really lose. And King gets his first title in NXT but in a very heelish way. My interest in this feud has just increased by 1000%.

Do you believe The Judgment Day is still a cohesive unit after recent events on WWE television?

Not really. Dom, Liv, and Rachel seem to be headed in one direction while Finn and JD are headed in another. And Carlito? He’s just playing video games. They’re still together, but not really. It’s more good storytelling by the WWE, making us wonder what comes next. We just have to keep watching.

Should Vladimir Kozlov be brought back to WWE and added to Imperium?

Surprisingly, Kozlov still wrestles in TNA and also works as a Russian-speaking commentator. This idea to bring him back to WWE and pair him with Imperium is cool, but would the WWE fans even remember who he is? His last date working for the WWE was in 2011 and he wasn’t a big name even then. It’s a nice thought, but I don’t see it happening.

What are your thoughts and memories of El Dandy?

My memories? A Luchador in WCW. Didn’t win many matches. Had curly brown hair and looked more like an auto mechanic than a professional wrestler. And someone, Bobby Heenan I believe, liked to make fun of his name. I remember that more than anything else.

Elimination Chamber Match: Stan Hansen & Bruiser Brody versus Brian Adams & Bryan Clark (Kronik) versus Luke Harper & Erik Rowan versus The Undertaker & Kane (The Brothers of Destruction) versus Ole & Gene Anderson versus The Blackjacks (Blackjack Mulligan & Blackjack Lanza). Who wins?

Would the Elimination Chamber and the pods be big enough to hold these guys? Six of the most powerful and dangerous tag teams in wrestling history. This would be brutal, bloody, and insanity at its best. And honestly, any team could win and it would be okay. I don’t see The Blackjacks or the Andersons getting the win. My personal favorite is Kronik, but I don’t think this match would be all about Kronik. I can’t see Harper & Rowan winning either. So Hansen & Brody or Taker & Kane? I think The Undertaker and Kane would get the victory here.

Would Gino Hernandez have made a good Horseman?

I think he would have been good in-ring-wise and as a character. But I can’t see him and Ole getting along behind the scenes. I don’t think he would have done well with the Crockett work schedule and his own personal demons would have been a major problem too. So in theory, The Handsome Half Breed would have made an excellent Horseman, but in reality, I just don’t see how it would work.

Wendi Richter versus Sonya Deville. Who wins?

The wrestlers of today are much better trained and so athletic. And Sonya is one of the best. She and Wendi would have a good match. After all, girls just want to have fun. But Sonya would take the win.

Tony Khan is at it again, spending millions of dollars to license the Guns & Roses song, Welcome to the Jungle, for the World’s End PPV. Thoughts?

Tony has money to throw away and he likes Guns & Roses. I personally think the millions of dollars would be better spent on production values, trainers, experienced agents for the matches, and making AEW a better product, but Tony wants music for his shows and that’s his prerogative. More power to him for that.

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. I’m down and out for now. I’ll be back later with more stuff. Stay well, and I’ll see you at the matches.
