Thoughts & Predictions

Tomorrow night is AEW’s final PPV event of 2024. It’s AEW Worlds End and it’s live on pay-per-view from Orlando, Florida. So, prediction time it is. Let’s do this.l
Continental Classic Semifinal
Will Ospreay vs. Kyle Fletcher
The last match these two had, one on one, went to Kyle Fletcher. Thus, it’s Ospreay’s turn to get the win. This should be another fun match, but the winner is in little doubt.
Winner: Will Ospreay.
Continental Classic Semifinal
Kazuchika Okada (c) vs. Ricochet.
Ricochet has been losing and was made to look like an idiot by the Hurt Syndicate last week on Dynamite. He needs a big win and needs it badly. I expect to see Ricochet embrace the dark side and do something sneaky.
Winner: Ricochet.
Continental Classic Final for the AEW Continental Championship
Kazuchika Okada (c) or Ricochet vs. Kyle Fletcher or Will Ospreay.
So it’s Will Ospreay versus Ricochet. As I said earlier, Ricochet needs a big win. Win or lose, Ospreay is safe.
Winner and NEW Continental Champion: Ricochet.
Four-way match for the AEW World Championship
Jon Moxley (c) vs. Orange Cassidy vs. “Hangman” Adam Page vs. Jay White.
Moxley needs to drop the belt. He’s gotten majorly stale. I can’t see Page or White with the belt right now, so that leaves one person. Jim Cornette will have a fit but look for the company mascot, Our Little Pockets, to win the match and title.
Winner and NEW AEW World Champion: Orange Cassidy.
AEW Dynamite Diamond Ring
MJF (ring holder) vs. Adam Cole (with Matt Taven and Mike Bennett).
I’m torn on this one. MJF shouldn’t lose, but he’s only a shadow of what he used to be. Adam Cole is so damn skinny, I don’t even think he can cast a shadow right now. A shadow will cast a Cole, bay-bay. I really don’t know. Cole needs a win more than MJF.
Winner and NEW AEW Diamond Ring Holder: Adam Cole.
Tijuana Street Fight for the AEW Women’s World Championship
Mariah May (c) vs. Thunder Rosa.
It’s a Tijuana Street Fight in Orlando, Florida. I’m sure this is one for the record books. Everything is in Thunder Rosa’s favor here. Thus, I think we’ll see the champion retain.
Winner and STILL AEW Women’s Champion: Mariah May.
AEW International Championship
Konosuke Takeshita (c) vs. Powerhouse Hobbs.
Hobbs is just back from injury, has all the momentum, and is the star on the rise and Tony Khan’s flavor of the month that’s not Orange. I would love to see Hobbs win some championship gold. And with that in mind, when do I ever get what I want?
Winner and STILL AEW International Champion: Konosuke Takeshita.
AEW TBS Championship
Mercedes Moné (c) vs. Kris Statlander.
Kris didn’t beat Mercedes at their last match and she won’t do it now. Mone isn’t who or what she used to be, but she’s still winning this match.
Winner and STILL AEW TBS Champion: Mercedes Moné.
And there you go with my predictions for AEW’s last PPV of the year. Let me hear yours, along with any thoughts, comments, or questions. Have a great one, my friends. Take care and I’ll see you at the matches.
