This is the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug. Let’s get busy and do this.

What are your memories of Porkchop Cash?

Honestly, there aren’t very many. Cash worked briefly here in NC in 1981, holding the Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Championship titles with Jay Youngblood, and then with King Parsons before leaving the area. I don’t remember ever hearing a single promo from the man, but he did wrestle a few times on the television. The main thing I remember about Cash was seeing his name in the Apter mags, working in Florida, Georgia, and Mid-South. He almost always wore an old cowboy hat, but otherwise, was non-descript.

Do you think Paul Heyman should settle the debts owed to former ECW stars, or is this just a part of wrestling history?

While working to pay these people back would be a nice gesture, I’m not holding my breath on it ever happening. These outstanding debts, especially after all this time, should probably be written off as lessons learned and stories to be told.

What’s your take on the claims AEW pre-approved questions for their media scrum? Could you see AEW doing this?

I can easily see AEW, and WWE for that matter, doing this. Pro wrestling is a worked business so it only makes sense that the questions from fake reporters are also fake. It’s just like the press conferences at the White House for the President.

Should AEW reconsider and bring Nick Gage into the fold, or is his hardcore style too risky for mainstream wrestling?

While Gage is a third-rate, outlaw mud show wrestler, AEW is full of them. And can anything Gage has done be as bad as syringe needles in the mouth, using cinder blocks as weapons, plastic bags on the head, attempts at poisoning, and burning down homes? It seems to be he’d fit right in. AEW should bring him back and use him. A pizza cutter to the head? Hell, he sounds like one of the boys to me.

Steve Austin & Bret Hart versus The Undertaker & Kane. Who wins?

Four of the best wrestlers of the Attitude Era. We probably saw this match on RAW at some point and I don’t remember it. I’d go with Austin and Bret for the win.

WWE does a reboot of WKRP in Cincinnati but casts WWE talents, past and present, in each role. Who plays which role?

For the role of The Big Guy, Mr. Carlson, let’s go with Bobby Heenan. Andy, Johnny, and Venus Fly Trap would be CM Punk, Dolph Ziggler, and R-Truth. Herb and Les would be The Miz & Akira Tozawa. Jennifer and Bailey would be Trish Stratus and Bayley. And Mrs. Carlson would be the late, great Mae Young.

Do you believe Private Party was the right choice to win the AEW Tag Team Titles?

Not really. They’ve been in AEW for five years, have accomplished nothing, and then suddenly, they’re champs? There was no build, no reasoning, but just there they are. It makes no sense at all.

What are your thoughts on Michin?

Talented, but for the most part, has been lost in the shuffle for the past few years. She’s finally getting a chance to shine and show her stuff against Chelsea Green and I think that’s cool. She’s very underrated but should do very well now that she’s being given the chance.

And there you go. Thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And with that, let’s wrap it up. Take care and be well, my friends. I’ll see you at the matches.
