Adam Copeland seemingly now goes by ‘“Rated R Superstar” Cope’. What are your thoughts on “Cope” as a ring name?

I think it’s a dumb ass name. What does “Cope” mean? To deal with problems or difficulties. And yeah, Cope’s entire AEW run has thus far, been one of problems and difficulties. I guess it’s kind of fitting then, but damn, that’s a bad name.

What are your thoughts on the new AEW Dynamite intro? “I’m So Excited” by the Pointer Sisters?

Well, it is catchy. It’s not what I would expect for a wrestling program, but then again, AEW is not what I would expect from a wrestling promotion, so maybe it is kind of fitting. I like the song, but it’s just not right for wrestling, at least not in my opinion.

Whose stock has fallen like Hook’s in 2024?

Maybe Sammy Guevera’s, but it has been a steep decline for Taz’s little baby boy. He was popular, getting a push, and looked good, and now? AEW dropped the ball with Hook. He’s barely an afterthought. He certainly deserved better.

Team Hell No (Kane & Daniel Bryan) versus Ric Flair & Blackjack Mulligan. Who wins?

I won’t lie. I liked Kane and Daniel Bryan as a team. But against long-time friends, neighbors, and former NWA Tag Team Champions, Ric Flair and Blackjack Mulligan, they’d be outclassed. Ric and Blackjack would win.

Is it time to put MJF back in the AEW World Title picture?

It doesn’t seem right to see MJF in AEW without some kind of gold around his waist. Yeah, MJF needs to be the champion. After all, he’s better than the rest of the roster and they know it.

Do you think Ricochet is up there as one of the best high-flyers in pro wrestling today?

Absolutely. Richchet’s ability in the ring has never been questioned so far as flying around and doing gymnastics are concerned. It’s just the no-selling, the bad storytelling, the bad promos, and the lack of continuity of his character where the flaws lay. But he can fly around the ring with the best of them.

There are rumors that CM Punk versus Seth may be fast-tracked, and WWE wants CM Punk versus Steve Austin at WrestleMania. Would you like to see Punk versus Austin?

Punk and Austin have a great chemistry and are said to be close outside the ring so this would probably be a great match. It’s a natural rivalry between Punk’s straight-edge life against Austin’s beer-drinking ways. If WWE could make this happen, I’d love to see it.

Santino Marella is teasing the WWE Royal Rumble, along with daughter Arianna Grace. Would you like to see Santino and his daughter as part of the Rumble?

Santino would make a great surprise for the Royal Rumble. The pop he would get from the WWE fans would be incredible. As for his daughter, Arianna Grace, she’s a part of NXT already so it wouldn’t be surprising to see her as part of the Rumble as well. Yeah. Seeing Santino and his daughter making history as the first father-daughter in the Royal Rumble the same year. That would be cool.

Do you think AEW is too much like WCW?

Even at its very worst, WCW was never as disorganized or sloppy as AEW currently is. I could always make it through WCW Nitro or WCW Thunder. I can barely make it ten minutes into an AEW event before having to change the channel. WCW wasn’t great towards the end, but it was still far better than what AEW is currently putting out.

Did you watch AEW Fight for the Fallen on Max? Thoughts?

I tried, but there was a problem with buffering, plus for some reason, I was getting the Spanish feed with the commentary. I checked my settings, but that wasn’t the problem. I went back later and the language was English, as it should be. I tried to watch it again, but couldn’t get interested or invested in the show.
