Ultimate Wrestling Q&A
Power & Glory, John Cena, Solo Sikoa & More

It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug. Let’s do this.
Bryan Danielson or CM Punk?
Bryan Danielson is an excellent wrestler and in the ring, one of the very best. But Punk has more of that snarky personality and is far better with the promos. I’m a fan of both men, but my preference would be the Second City Saint, CM Punk.
Predict Solo Sikoa’s WrestleMania matchup.
It’s hard to answer this question without knowing what will happen on Monday between Sikoa and Roman Reigns. If Sikoa is the Tribal Chief, plus has the Wise Man with him, the options for opponents would be far different than what Solo, as a beaten man trying to regroup, would face. Let’s just go with Solo versus Jacob Fatu at Mania.
Would you like to see Baron Corbin in AEW?
He’d probably make more money with AEW, but career-wise, TNA would be the better move. In AEW, he’d be lost in the shuffle in a matter of weeks. In TNA, he’d get the solid push and be a top guy. So, so would I like to see Corbin in AEW? No, not really.
Ric Flair wants one more match. If you could pick the opponent for the Nature Boy, who would it be?
How about Sting? No, it would be appropriate, but Sting doesn’t need the headaches. Who can wrestle a drunken 75-year-old, who had a great retirement match, and came back afterward, then disgraced his legacy with a “Last Match” to milk the few fans he has remaining for their money? Cary Silken? No, he’s a promoter and not a wrestler. How about The Franchise, Shane Douglas? Or maybe Omos? No, I’ve got it. Last match? Flair versus Bronson Reed. Book it, Triple H.
Were you a fan of Power & Glory (Paul Roma & Hercules)? What are your thoughts and memories of this tag team?
I liked this team of Paul Roma & Hercules, along with manager Slick. I never expected them to win a match, but they had a good look, worked well together, and were believable enough to know that there was always a chance. It was a downturn for Hercules after being a big star for Mid-South and part of the Heenan family, but for Roma, it was a good place. He was always better in tag teams than as a singles guy, and with Hercules, he had the perfect partner.
Rated FTR (FTR, Adam Copeland) versus The Russians (Ivan Koloff, Nikita Koloff, Krusher Kruschev). Who wins?
This match would be the bomb. Rated FTR is a good combination of wrestlers with a strong history among all the wrestlers to be an effective unit. But the Russians had the experience of Uncle Ivan and the power that was Nikita. The Russians would win.
John Cena is making his return to WWE on Monday for a year-long “Goodbye Tour”. If you could book three of his opponents for the King of the Ring, Crown Jewel, and SummerSlam events, who would you choose?
For King of the Ring, I’d do the match everyone wants to see, John Cena versus CM Punk. For Crown Jewel, how about Cena versus Roman Reigns? And finally, at SummerSlam, I’d have Cena versus the returning Matt Cardona.
You’re told to recast the TV show, Friends, but using current WWE talents for each of the main characters. Who would be in which role?
Off the top of my head, I think it’d go like this. For the roles of Monica, Rachel, and Phoebe, I’d go with Sonya Deville, Natalya, and Chelsea Green. As for the men, Ross, Chandler, and Joey, I’d use Chad Gable, The Miz, and R-Truth.
War Games Match: DX (Triple H, HBK, Billy Gunn, Road Dogg, X-Pac) w/ Chyna versus OG Bloodline (Roman Reigns, Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso, Sami Zayn, CM Punk). Who wins?
Old versus new, this match would rock! Who wins? It could easily go either way and no one would care. It would most likely be that good of a match. I can’t pick a winner so I’ll flip a coin. Heads for D and tails for the Bloodline. Tails. The Bloodline wins.
Adam Copeland has disclosed that John Cena has not spoken with him ever since he joined AEW. Thoughts?
What is he complaining about? Cena hasn’t spoken to me either, but you don’t see me complaining about it. I’ve never heard of Cena and Edge being best friends. They were coworkers and when someone leaves a job, usually the relationship gets strained. It’s just life. Also, Cena has been making a TV show. That doesn’t leave much free time for randomly calling up a former coworker to talk about the weather. This is a nothing burger and means absolutely nothing.
And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. Stay well, my friends. I’ll see you at the matches.
