Why do you think the current generation is struggling with ‘mental health’?
The current generation, they’re entitled, spoiled, and thinks the world owes them, and when they don’t get their way, they retreat into mental delusions rather than face facts, man up, and deal with it. Devoid of true social interaction due to over-reliance on social media, they live in a world of fantasy and delusion and can’t handle life in the real world, a world of responsibility, consequences, and actual human interaction. They never had the proper upbringing with chores, responsibilities, and the occasional belt to the ass and it shows.
Should tipping be abolished and replaced with higher wages for service workers, or does it encourage better service?
Tipping is supposed to encourage better service. That was the theory. Unfortunately, like everything else, the entitlement society has changed and people feel like they’re owed a good tip, but aren’t willing to go the extra mile or even the bare minimum to get it. Higher wages would be nice, but those wages have to be earned by hard work, being responsible, and having a strong work ethic. And most people today, they just don’t.
If a straight guy is dating a trans woman, is he still straight?
A trans woman is a guy pretending to be a woman. It’s still a guy. So, if a straight guy is dating him, he’s not 100% straight. He’s bi or gay. It really is just that simple.
What song do you want to be played at your funeral?
Off the top of my head, two songs come to mind. Thunderbird by Quiet Riot, and This River, the Danny Aiello cover. I’m sure that other songs would come to mind if I gave this serious thought, but those are the first two I thought of… and they’re awesome.
Would you rather eat a meal prepared by a world-class chef or one made by your loved ones?
Most likely, one made by my loved ones. I’m not into all that fancy-schmancy crap. Just keep things simple.
Can you write in cursive?
I can and can do it very well, thank you. My handwriting sucks these days and has gotten sloppy as I’ve gotten older, but I can still write and read cursive. I learned when I was a child and have never forgotten.
What animal are you deathly afraid of, or would crap your pants if surprised by them?
I don’t like spider crickets. They’re harmless and I know that, but they still creep me out for some reason. Any animal that pulls the surprise, showing up suddenly in my face with no warning, will be a bad reaction. I’ve walked into spider webs or come across a snake unexpectedly in the past and I freaked out. I don’t care if they’re there, but when they sneak up and appear out of nowhere, it’s a whole different story.
What quietly went away without anyone noticing?
Kids get together, playing outdoors, riding bikes around the neighborhood, and playing ball. That doesn’t happen anymore. Now, it’s all video games and social media drama. That’s not a good thing.
What if every time you sneezed, you teleported to a different location, where do you hope you would end up?
In the bedroom of Juventud Guerrera or Zac Efron. I’m sorry. I can’t think of anything witty to say here. Maybe Tokyo, Japan, or Wilmington, NC? In New York or Connecticut, at the homes of some friends. I really don’t know.
Who’s on your Mount Rushmore of rock singers?
Alice Cooper for sure. Freddie Mercury, David Bowie, and Axl Rose would round out the list. Three Legends and Axl because I love that little dance he does in the Patience video.
And that’s all for now. Comments, questions, or thoughts are welcome and appreciated. Thanks for reading and I’ll see you on X. I’m @Doug28352. Have a great one and stay warm.
