I’m Doug and this is the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. Let’s do this thang!
Aldo Montoya versus Hurricane Helms. Who wins?
Stand back! There’s a hurricane coming through and taking the quick victory in this match.
Do you think it was really Hulk Hogan’s ties to Donald Trump for the backlash at WWE RAW on Netflix premiere?
That may have been part of it, but I think Hogan’s racist comments in the past, plus the constant lies and hypocrisy of The Hulkster over the past few decades added to it as well. Hogan is not a nice person and people are seeing through the fake persona more and more each day.
Do you think Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes’ success should be credited to Seth Rollins?
I think Seth deserves some credit for having great matches with both men and helping them to get over with the WWE audience. But are they successful because of Seth? No. They’re successful because of Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes and being very good at what they do.
Would you like to see CM Punk step into the ring with Steve Austin in 2025?
This is a dream match that could still happen and yes, I would love to see it, be it at WrestleMania, SummerSlam, or even Saudi Arabia. Let’s hope that WWE can make it happen.
Chelsea Green & Piper Niven versus Ivory & Victoria. Who wins?
My three favorite women of WWE and Piper, who I like a great deal as well, all in one ring. The promos would be off the charts. As for the match, as much as I love Ivory and Victoria, I think Piper and Chelsea are the better tag team. Piper and Chelsea would win.
Do you think Scott Steiner’s decision to bury the hatchet with WWE was the right move for his family and Bron’s career?
Holding a grudge is never a good thing. With Bron as part of the WWE, plus Scott’s son, Brock, being offered an NIL Deal by the WWE, it makes less sense than ever to be mad about things that did or didn’t happen twenty years ago. It’s good to see that everyone has buried the hatchet.
Do you want to see Vince McMahon make a WWE comeback once he wraps up his legal issues?
Regardless of settling his legal issues or not, Vince McMahon will never be back as part of the WWE. Those days are over and WWE has moved on from the era of McMahon.
Darby Allin will allegedly be taking a sabbatical from AEW for a few months to prepare for his climb of Mt.Everest. Thoughts?
Darby needs to take time off to let his body heal and get over some injuries. Climbing Mt. Everest is cool and all that, and good luck to him on his goals. But regardless of the reason, Allin puts his body through hell and a sabbatical from the grinds of wrestling for a while can only be a good thing.
The Big Show versus Omos. Who wins?
If it’s the Omos who is currently working in Japan for Pro Wrestling NOAH, this would be a good match, but if it’s the WWE version of Omos, not so much. It also depends on which version of the Big Show we get. Two big men slapping man meat in the ring. I think Omos should get the win.
AJ Styles recently said that his recovery from his recent injuries has been tough. Do you think AJ will return to WWE, or will this setback force his retirement?
At this point, it’s all wait-and-see. AJ Styles is getting older, and the body doesn’t heal as fast as it used to. Believe me, I know. I can’t see AJ accepting retirement so easily, so even if he can’t get medically cleared, I can see him working as a trainer or producer for WWE. His career isn’t over, but it may require a few small changes and adaptations. AJ just has to do what’s best for himself and his family.
And there you go. Thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And with that, I’m out of here. Take care and I’ll see you at the matches.
