Twitter is a crazy world full of many things. And that often includes the most random of questions. Well, I’m going to answer a few of them. I’m Doug and this is the Ultimate X Q&A. Let’s roll.

What inspires you?

Friends like Theresa, Brent, Michael, Bill, etc., who I see out there living life and being the best that they can be. Chasing the dreams, handling things, and keeping going, regardless of what life throws in their path. I think that’s really cool and when I grow up, I want to be like them.

What’s your all-time favorite David Bowie song?

Usually, I say The Laughing Gnome, which is a great song, but as of late, Lazarus has become my favorite. It was Bowie saying goodbye as only Bowie could.

Who do you consider the greatest songwriter of all time?

Most would say, McCartney or Dylan. I tend to lean more toward Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson, and Kris Kristofferson. But the GOAT? Elton John’s partner-in-crime, Bernie Taupin. He also co-wrote Alice Cooper’s From The Inside album. The man and his lyrics are magic. He’s absolutely one of the very best.

Do you care that President Trump is a convicted felon?

The felony charges are trumped up and will be overturned on appeal. We all know that. And I’d rather have a convicted felon with white-colored crimes like the President was wrongly convicted of than a man who showers with his daughter (Biden) or a serial rapist (Clinton) anytime.

Are family dinners at the table still important?

They’re a forgotten part of America’s past, but yes, they are still very important. The world was a much better place when families spent time together, be it a meal, vacation, or anything else. If I ever have a family of my own, I’ll try and bring the family dinners back. I remember them so well and it was truly a better time.

Have you ever traveled to a filming location? If not, which would you travel to?

I’ve never been to one, but I did ride up to Hamlet many years ago when they were filming Billy Bathgate up there, with Dustin Hoffman. It was after things had closed up and finished though. As for one, I’d like to travel to and see, if Kevin Smith ever films anything in NC, I’m calling it now. ROAD TRIP!

Have you considered the possibility that you could be crazy?

As Waylon Jennings often said, I’ve always been crazy, but it keeps me from going insane. And I’m allowed to be crazy. I’m a writer, damn it!

Are you intimidated by technology?

I refuse to answer on the grounds that the robots are listening and might come after me if they sense weakness. In other words, technology is a necessary evil, but does it intimidate me? Hell yeah!

How much money would solve all your problems?

Two grand would pay off every debt I owe. Add another $500 for possible truck maintenance and I’d pretty much be set. My parents taught me how to manage money and I don’t waste on stupid stuff. It makes a difference. So 10 grand would do it.

And there you go. Thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and questions are welcome and appreciated. I have to go to the doctor now. I have an appointment. I’ll see you later.

Ubuntu!
