I’m Doug and this is the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. Are you ready? I said, ARE YOU READY? Two words for you. Let’s roll.

Should WWE continue to feature Hulk Hogan at major events, or is it time for the company to move on?

Hogan is too big a star to totally ignore, plus they have this deal with Hogan for the beer, so WWE will continue to use him. They can’t afford not to use Hogan. I would just give Hogan a check and keep him at home and off the television, but WWE would lose money to do that. I expect that they’ll use him sparingly and pick the spots. International spots or shows in MAGA country, bring Hulk in. They’ll just be more selective as to how and when they use Hogan than they have been in the past.

Would you love to see Bad Bunny go full heel and face off against Logan Paul?

It’s not a match I’d want to see because to be honest, without an experienced wrestler involved to call the match, it would probably end up being a train wreck. I like Logan and Bunny impressed me in his match last year against Priest, but I don’t think this match would work very well. I could be wrong, but I’m not feeling it at all.

Jon Moxley called out anyone in the back who didn’t like “what we’re trying to do here”. Maybe I missed it, but what exactly is it they’re trying to do?

I have no idea. I’ve been trying to watch on Max, but all it’s done so far is give me headaches trying to make sense of everything. I’ll just say that it’s AEW and Tony Khan knows the deal. That’s all that matters, right?

What are your thoughts on TNA bringing back live episodes of Impact?

With live episodes of Impact, plus the addition of NXT talent, it seems as if AEW is ready to step things up and go to the next level again. Good for them.

Should Renee Paquette give commentary another shot in AEW, or is she better off sticking to interviews and hosting?

I would enjoy seeing Renee back at the announcer’s table again. She was good at it and would be a huge improvement over Excaliber or Tony Schiavone. I wish she’d get back to doing the Oral Sessions podcast again. The longer, one-on-one interviews are where she seemed to shine the most. The backstage stuff at AEW is just wasting her skills and talents.

They both do a great job but if you could only choose one… Pat McAfee or Corey Graves?

Pat McAfee is the bigger name and has a much larger fanbase, but Graves has been working hard and loyal for over a decade, becoming one of the best commentators in the business. So it’s instant gratification or sure & steady. It’s a tough call, but loyalty matters. If I can only pick one, I’m going with Graves.

Do you think WWE has done enough to create equality?

WWE has talents of every size, race, gender, and sexual orientation and the thing that matters is talent and ability to draw an audience and make money. I think that’s more than enough.

Describe Mariah May in three words or less.

Talented, overrated, and Blonde.

Do you think Kenny Omega’s return will help bring the AEW viewership numbers closer to 1 million again?

Having Omega back should help improve the ratings a little bit, but I don’t think the increase will be that significant. Fans might tune in to see Omega wrestle, but when Jericho or Moxley hit the ring, they’ll check right back out again.

Has NXT used Ethan Page better or worse than AEW?

In AEW, Page was rarely used, lost in the shuffle, and we only had the slightest idea of who he was. In NXT, he’s been a featured talent ever since his debut and the fans have responded. He’s a hit. So yes, NXT has used him far better.

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And with that, let’s wrap it up. Stay well, and I’ll see you at the matches.

Ubuntu!
