I’m Doug and this is the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. Let’s roll.

How good (or bad) was Vince McMahon as an announcer?

Doing the play-by-play for WWE, Vince wasn’t bad at all. The jackets he wore were ugly as heck, but Vince was pretty decent at calling the action inside the ring.

Samoa Joe is back in AEW! Thoughts?

Finally! AEW needs a strong, babyface to stand up to and counter Moxley, and Jericho. Joe has a proven record of being too legit to quit and a top guy that the fans can believe in and take seriously. It’s good to see him back in AEW.

Do you think WWE should keep Corey Graves or let him go? How would you feel about him possibly joining AEW?

If the complaints are real and not a storyline as I still suspect, hopefully, WWE management and Graves can sit down, have a discussion, and work out a compromise of sorts. Graves has been a good employee and loyal for a long time and I’d like WWE to keep him if possible. If Graves were to leave and go to AEW, he would do well. He’d be the best announcer on the AEW roster. It’d be great for AEW if this happened.

Triple Threat Celebrity Match for WrestleMania. Wee Man versus Hornswoggle versus Brad Williams. Who wins?

A full-fledged comedy match of dwarfs, referee bumps, and everything else. Swoggle would play it seriously, Williams would play for the laughs, and Wee Man would be somewhere in between. WeeLC II. And the celebrity would win. The bigger celebrity. Uh, never mind. Wee Man would win.

WWE and TNA have made it official with a multi-year agreement for crossovers, joint promotional events, etc. Thoughts?

This is just crossing the T’s and dotting the I’s with official paperwork of what we’ve been seeing for the past few months. TNA and NXT crossing over back and forth, just like AEW and ROH except for TNA and NXT are actually separate companies. This expands the opportunities for the talents of both companies. This is a great move of an epic nature.

If Rick Rude was ring-healthy during the nWo era – do you see him as an active nWo member like Hogan, Nash, and Hall or on the side of a WCW?

If Rude had been able to wrestle, he would have been part of the nWo, working as a heel. I can’t see Rude being the good, stand-up guy, sacrificing himself for WCW. Rude would be out for himself and trying to gain power. He would be nWo 4 Life.

Why did Tatanka turn on Lex Luger in 1994 and join Ted Dibiase? There’s no way it was just for the money.

He turned because WWE wanted to elevate his character and make him a heel. Turning on Lex was a convenient way to do it.

What do you think of Adam Copeland’s name change to Cope?

When I first heard about it, I thought it was dumb. And now, a couple of weeks later, I still think it’s dumb. There was nothing wrong with being Adam Copeland. It wasn’t broken so why did they have to fix it? They didn’t. They just made it worse. Oy vey!

Do you think Shawn Michaels should have a bigger role in WWE shows, or is his current involvement just right?

Right now, as the boss at NXT, who only shows up on TV when there’s a good reason, it works. WWE seems to have found the right mix for HBK. Leave it as it is.

What do you think about The Hardys possibly returning to WWE as TNA Tag Team Champions?

With this new TNA/WWE deal in place, I wouldn’t be surprised to see the TNA wrestlers on RAW and Smackdown, and WWE wrestlers on Impact. So it’s very likely Matt & Jeff Hardy may show up at WWE events. And what do I think? In the words of Carlito, “It’s cool!”.

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And with that, I’m out of here. Take care and be well, my friends. Watch out for foreign objects and I’ll see you at the matches.

Ubuntu!
