Every day, my Twitter feed is filled with dozens of random questions. This is where I provide the answers. It’s Ultimate X Q&A. Let’s do this.
What is the true purpose of human existence?
I think it’s to annoy the piss out of me. It sure seems that way sometimes. But truthfully, I asked my cat, Mouthie, this question. He says that humans are here to serve the cats. I won’t argue with him. Sounds good to me.
Does a person’s political views affect your opinion of them?
To a point, yes. I have no problem with someone I disagree with so long as they’re rational and sane about it. We all have different opinions at times. But politics tends to bring out the derangement and craziness of people far too often and they turn into completely different people. And yeah, when someone is crazy, my opinion of them changes.
Wolves or tigers?
Do I look like Joe Exotic to you? By the way, President Trump needs to give that man a pardon. And lock up that bitch, Carol Baskin. But back to the animals. Tigers are beautiful, but wolves are absolutely my favorite between the two.
Wonder Woman versus Storm. Who wins in a battle?
Storm is a powerful mutant and one of the best X-Men ever, but Diana, aka Wonder Woman, is an Amazon and a child of the gods. Wonder Woman would win.
If you make one law that everyone had to follow, what would it be?
I can’t really think of anything. Most of the acts I’d make criminal are already illegal. We have plenty of laws. Probably too many to be honest about it. The problem is enforcement. So, no new laws. But I would have February 4th declared a federal holiday. After all, it is Alice Cooper’s birthday.
On a scale of 1-10, where 10 is the most recognition possible and 1 is complete anonymity, how much do you prefer to be recognized for good deeds and accomplishments?
Maybe a 5 or 6. I don’t really care for recognition for any so-called good deeds I do. I know what I do or don’t do and that’s really all that matters. But so far as accomplishments go, it’s nice to get a nod every so often. It’s not necessary, but if I’ve done something major, like creating a website that is getting between 700-800 views a day, or writing a good story, it’s cool to hear someone say, “Good job!”.
If you were pulled over by a cop right now, would you have your license, vehicle information, and insurance documentation all ready and accessible for the officer?
Yes, I do keep all of that available and easily accessible. It’s just better that way.
Have you ever kept a library book? For how long?
I still may have a few books around here that may or may not have come from the library at Scotland High School. I graduated in 1985. You can do the math.
Should people be judged for having tattoos in a professional setting?
They shouldn’t, but they are. And yeah, despite saying that, I’ve done it too. Would you want a doctor or lawyer with face tattoos? Tattoos are cool. I have 2 1/2 myself. But on the neck, face, or where they’re all a person notices and can see, it’s distracting and yes, looks unprofessional. Many of the best people I know and some of the best coworkers I’ve ever had were tattooed up. But stereotypes do exist and people will judge.
What’s one movie you’re embarrassed to admit you enjoy?
I am embarrassed by nothing. I’m a homo-redneck wrestling guy so I have no shame. A movie that I like. Howard the Duck. Yes, it’s cheesy at times, but it’s a true classic. And yes, I watch it at least twice a year.
When is the last time you sat down at the table for a family dinner?
I honestly can not remember. I usually eat at my computer. Ma takes her food into the living room. I don’t know. But if I ever have a family again, I think a family dinner, at least once a week, would be great. I just need a family for that. Any volunteers?
The FDA, under President Biden, is pushing for legislation to effectively ban cigarettes in the United States. Thoughts?
The actual ban would be to reduce the nicotine in cigarettes to almost nothing. And while I hate smoking and the effects it has on people, this ban is very wrong. A person has to be 21 years of age to buy cigarettes. It should be age 18, but it’s 21. By that age, people are adults and have the right to make their own decisions, both good and bad. The government tried this with alcohol once before. Remember prohibition? And it opened the door for bootlegging and the black market, making criminals out of normal people. Yes, we all know that cigarettes are bad for us, but as adults, that’s our choice. What’s next? Soft drinks cause diabetes and weight gain. Are we banning them next? The government just needs to back the hell off and leave people and their guilty pleasures alone.
And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And with that, let’s close up shop for today. Take care and be well, my friends. I’ll see you at the Tobacco Store.
