It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug. Let’s roll.
The Hart Foundation (Bret Hart, Jim Neidhart, Brian Pillman, Davey Boy Smith, Owen Hart) versus The nWo (Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, The Giant, Syxx). Who wins?
The nWo may be 4 Life, but Bret and the others were family. In my book, the family should win. It would most likely end up with a DQ finish due to the politics and all the egos involved, but I would still have the Hart Foundation get the victory.
What is your take on Christopher Daniels retiring from pro wrestling?
The Fallen Angel is a very talented wrestler who had a great career. But time eventually catches up with all of us, and Daniels has chosen to move full-time into backstage and supportive roles rather than perform in the ring. At least he had the chance for one last big moment in the ring. Good for Daniels, and here’s to a long and happy in-ring retirement.
What are your thoughts on The Hurt Syndicate as the NEW AEW Tag Team Champions?
Just a few days ago, I noted that AEW was beginning to drop the ball with Lashley and Shelton Benjamin. Now, they’re the new tag team champions. I guess I was wrong. Congrats to Shelton and Lashley. Now, they can elevate those titles and make their mark in AEW. Good for them.
Plans for the return of Alexa Bliss have allegedly been put on hold by the WWE. Are you ready for Bliss to return to WWE?
From all reports, it’s a contract thing. Bliss wants a new deal, while WWE wants her to fulfill her current, older contract first before any new talks can commence. Hopefully, they’ll get it worked out sooner rather than later. And yes, I am ready for Miss Bliss to return to the WWE.
Would you like to see John Cena crossover to TNA?
It would truly be a historic moment, a great moment for TNA, and would be a win-win for all parties involved. Cena versus Hendry is a potential dream match, and I’d greatly enjoy seeing this happen.
Do you think that WWE will end up owning TNA Wrestling?
Maybe not full ownership, but I can easily see TKO taking a controlling interest in TNA and using it as a developmental territory, much like they did in the past with OVW. That is very likely and possible.
Konnan said that Britt Baker cheated on Adam Cole. Britt Baker denies this and says she’s never cheated. Thoughts?
What does it really matter? This is all just backroom gossip and no one’s business, except for Baker and Adam Cole’s. It’s all speculation and no one should give a damn or care. Leave her alone already.
What do you think about Baron Corbin’s WWE exit? Do you believe someone sabotaged his career, or was it just a case of creative changes?
Corbin was an excellent wrestler and had a great run with WWE, albeit the past few years have been somewhat odd. I don’t know if anyone was working against him in the office or not. Wrestling is a highly political business and why someone as talented as Corbin can be released, while Tamina Snuka, for example, is still under contract and has a job, doesn’t make sense. I know that he believes that someone in high authority didn’t like him and worked against him. He would know better than us.
RVD has accused Big Time Wrestling’s Dillon Hines and Bobby Fulton of scamming wrestlers. Thoughts?
Have you seen this kid, Dillon Hines? Allegedly ripped off RVD, Sabu, and Matt Riddle for money owed. Has been accused of trying to have Devon Dudley removed from a show. Threatened his father, Bobby Fulton, during a podcast interview. Has been accused of forging autographs on pictures and merchandise paid for by fans. Has left messages and recordings of threats against business owners he’s cheated out of money. Hines is something else and it’s not good at all. He makes Hannibal look respectful and honest by comparison. He’s using his father’s name and reputation, dragging it into the mud, to attempt to be a big deal and hot-shot promoter. He’s a sleazy dude, pure and simple. An absolute slime-ball.
Ilja Dragunov versus Ricky Starks. Who wins?
Starks is the better talker and will be a huge star one day, once he escapes from the AEW hostage situation. But Dragunov is the better in-ring talent in my opinion. This would be a good match, but the outcome is rather obvious to me. Dragunov would win.
And there you go. Thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And with that, let’s wrap it up. Take care and be well, my friends. Watch out for foreign objects, and I’ll see you at the matches.
