I’m Doug and this is the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. Let’s rock this town. And away we go.
Would you like to have Hulk Hogan at your wedding rehearsal dinner?
Hulk Hogan probably wouldn’t be on my guest list, but if he were to show up, I’d let him stay. If it’s for MY wedding, I’m probably too drunk or too much in shock to even notice who is or isn’t there anyhow.
Tom Pestock, WWE’s former Baron Corbin, thinks someone in WWE wanted him gone, but it wasn’t CCO Triple H. Care to speculate who it may be?
It wasn’t Triple H, but it was obviously someone high on the food chain with a lot of power and influence. Bruce Pritchard rarely has an opinion and supports whatever the boss wants, so I doubt it’s him. Michael Hayes is more concerned with the female roster, and most of the agents don’t have the political stroke necessary to do major damage to a wrestler. I’m thinking either a big star, like Roman Reigns, who might still be mad about the dog food incident a few years ago, or maybe Paul Heyman. We’ll probably never know until Corbin spills the beans, but those two seem the most logical in my mind.
What kind of reaction do you think Ric Flair will get from the fans at the Royal Rumble? Will he be cheered, will he be Hogan’ed, or will the fans just be indifferent to the Nature Boy?
Flair will get some cheers just for being Ric Flair. Most of the fan response will be lukewarm or indifferent in my opinion. Flair has burned through so many bridges and is more and more toxic with every appearance. I just hope he can get through this one without causing a major scene.
A real estate firm has bought the old Titan Towers and plans to turn it into apartments. If you owned this historic building, what would you do with it?
The idea of turning it into apartments sounds good to me. If it was mine though, the top levels would be converted into a Penthouse apartment for me, a few other apartments for my bro & the family, and a full studio for artistic projects. Maybe the top four levels are for personal use and the rest into apartments to rent. Works for me.
Sgt. Slaughter versus RVD. Who wins?
RVD is great at the hit-and-run offense and is a wrestling legend, but if we’re talking about the pre-WWE version of Slaughter, it wouldn’t even be close. Slaughter would win and everyone would stand up and take notice. And that’s an order, Maggots!
Do you think Corey Graves will return to the ring before his contract ends?
Graves has been cleared to wrestle and he’s too popular a character with WWE not to venture back into the ring at least once. I’m hoping that WWE will have taken notice of the recent controversies and go with a Graves versus Pat McAfee match at WrestleMania. It would be awesome. But even if that doesn’t happen, I expect we’ll see Graves back in the ring at some point.
After a great run with Pro Wrestling NOAH, Omos is returning to the WWE. Thoughts?
I just hope that WWE was watching and took notice of how Omos was used and booked while in Japan and working for Pro Wrestling NOAH. That is how to book a big man like Omos. I’m scared that once he’s back in WWE, given that the roster is so strong right now, he’ll be lost in the shuffle and forgotten. NOAH showed what Omos can be if used correctly. I just hope that WWE can keep the ball running.
The Terror Twins (Damian Priest & Rhea Ripley) versus The Macho King & Queen, Randy Savage & Sherri Martel. Who wins?
What a fun brawl this would be. Macho and Sherri are better characters than Priest, but Mami is more solid as a wrestler than Sherri. Most likely, this would go to a no-contest or a DQ finish, but if there had to be a winner by pinfall or submission, I think Priest and Rhea would come out on top.
Describe Bianca Belair in three words or less.
Athletic, charismatic, and the “EST”.
Toni Storm is “Timeless” again. Thoughts?
I have no words. Toni Storm, as the Timeless Character, was easily one of the best things about AEW this past year, and I was wondering why they changed her character. Well, they didn’t and it was all a ruse, a great acting job. It’s odd, but it’s intriguing and great television. Welcome back, Timeless One. You have been missed.
And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And with that, I’m like cheers for Hogan. I’m history. Take care and I’ll see you at the matches.
