I’m Doug. This is where all the wrestling questions come to be answered. This is the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. Let’s roll.
So, while JD McDonagh is out with injuries, who should Judgment Day bring in as a replacement if anyone?
I’ve heard rumors that Omos may be brought in as Judgment Day’s resident enforcer and monster. That makes sense to a point, but I know a better option. JD will be out for a few months, and Judgment Day needs a replacement to fill the void. So why not go to Carlito’s old tag team partner and traveling buddy, The Masterpiece, Chris Masters? Yeah, that’s a name out of nowhere, but imagine the pop he’d get. Masters has the name value and experience necessary, plus he’s a former WWE who was fired and now returning, like Cody, or Drew. It makes sense and would be perfect.
Which territory was your favorite to watch, and who was your favorite wrestler?
I’m assuming that you’re asking about my favorite territory as a kid. I’m a North Carolina guy so I grew up with Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling, and Jim Crockett Promotions. As for my favorite wrestlers, as a kid, it was Blackjack Mulligan, The Masked Superstar, The Anderson Brothers, and the Boogie Woogie Man, Jimmy Valiant.
The Undertaker versus Bruno Sammartino. Who wins?
The Dead Man versus The Living Legend. What an encounter this would be. It’s a tough call because Bruno was so legit strong and a true legend in every sense inside that ring. The Undertaker may have been overshadowed by the gimmick, but he’s a man who has paid his dues and is respected and perhaps even feared by all. This is a certified dream match in every sense of the word. As for the winner, it would be Bruno, of course.
Zelina Vega has been moved to Smackdown. Thoughts?
Zelina should thrive and should do well on Smackdown. I think, as part of the LWO, Zelina has been overshadowed and forgotten about more often than not. Zelina is a star and needs to have a chance to shine. I think a move to the blue brand is the best move for her current role in the WWE and career.
Should the Royal Rumble PLE be expanded to two nights?
If WWE does expand its PLE schedule to make certain events two nights, I think that after WrestleMania and SummerSlam, the Rumble match would be the best to be next. Those Rumble matches run over an hour each and that’s a lot of time on a show. Two Rumble matches are essentially an entire event. What about the various titles, feuds, and other potential matches? It just seems to me that for Mania, SummerSlam, The Rumble, and maybe Hell in a Cell, two nights would work better.
Vince McMahon did so many wrong things in his life, but he never stole a deserving candidate’s spot and headlined the WWE Hall of Fame himself. Triple H is so selfish. Thoughts?
Vince didn’t even allow his name to be mentioned at the Hall of Fame but don’t get upset about Triple H headlining the HOF. He’s well deserving and is a main-event level star that will draw an audience and draw ratings. He’s not taking anyone’s spot. Triple H belongs there.
So, Triple H is the headliner for the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2025. Who else should be inducted alongside The Game?
If it was my call, I’d go with The Midnight Express w/ Jim Cornette, Demolition, Victoria, Ken Shamrock, Ivan Koloff, and Cyndi Lauper as the Celebrity induction.
Do you think Bad Bunny and Logan Paul should settle it in the ring?
If they have an issue about pro wrestling, then they should get in the ring and wrestle. It really is just that simple.
Do you think Toni Storm’s reveal was one of the greatest segments in AEW history? Did you even watch it?
Yes, I did watch it on YouTube. And it was cool. One of the greatest in AEW history might be stretching it quite a bit, but it was a good segment, and the audience, who had been dead for most of the show, responded with a great reaction. Timeless Toni Storm is a great gimmick.
Do you think The Wyatt Sicks are losing momentum with this absence, or will their return be worth the wait?
The Wyatt Sicks are quickly losing what little momentum they had. They had a great introduction, but since then, it’s been “Eh!”, at best. When they eventually return, it needs to be a big and memorable moment that really makes a huge impact and that they can build upon. Otherwise, at this point, the gimmick will just be D.O.A.
And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And with that, let’s wrap it up. Take care and be well, my friends. Watch out for foreign objects and announcer desks. I’ll see you at the matches.
