Day One: The Fight

Trips to the doctor
Trips all alone
Never stopping
Constantly moving on

A challenge it is
And so it shall continue to be
But what is life without challenges
It’s all part of being me

Kicked when I’m down
Fighting the fight
But getting back up
And carrying on

I sometimes want to quit
I sometimes want to fail
But what truly is Heaven
If you haven’t been through Hell

Rising to the occasion
And never giving in
To do anything else
Would surely be a sin

So I struggle to find the strength
Continue to fight the fight
My faith is strong
Failing would be so very wrong
And I’m going to make it
That’s right.
