Thoughts & Predictions

Coming up on Saturday, live from Washington DC, is WWE NXT Vengeance Day 2025, live on Peacock. And that means predictions. Are you ready? Let’s do this.
WWE NXT Champion Oba Femi vs. Austin Theory vs. Grayson Waller.
So, is this a handicap match, or is it every man for themselves as Waller and Theory take on Oba Femi? The build for this has been excellent, and they have been teasing a breakup with Theory and Waller for so long, that it’s almost to be expected that they’re going to end up fighting for the belt. This should be a damn good match. I don’t see Femi losing the title. It’s too soon, and although I’d love to see Waller get a run with the title, and to see Theory turn face, it’s not time yet. Look for Femi to take advantage of the discord and get a win.
Winner and STILL NXT Champion: Oba Femi.
WWE NXT Women’s Champion GIULIA vs. Bayley vs. Roxanne Perez vs. Cora Jade in a Fatal Four Way.
I think we’ll be seeing Perez heading to the main roster soon, plus Bayley will be getting ready for Elimination Chamber next week, so I don’t see either of them winning here. So, it’s Cora Jade or GIULIA. I don’t see this belt changing hands.
Winner and STILL NXT Women’s Champion: GIULIA.
WWE NXT Women’s North American Champion Fallon Henley vs. Stephanie Vaquer.
I had forgotten that Henley even had the North American Championship. Vaquer is the star on the rise and flavor of the month for the NXT Women’s Division. I think she’ll be wearing some gold at the end of the night.
Winner and NEW WWE NXT Women’s North American Champion: Stephanie Vaquer.
NXT Tag Team Champions Nathan Frazer & Axiom vs. Josh Briggs & Yoshiki Inamura.
The more I see Frazer & Axiom in action, the more I continue to be impressed by them. Briggs and Inamura are talented dudes, but those tag team titles are not changing hands anytime soon.
Winners and STILL NXT Tag Team Champions: Nathan Frazer & Axiom.
Trick Williams vs. Eddy Thorpe – Strap Match.
Thorpe is really growing into his role as the bad guy and has become a guilty pleasure of mine. The guy has skills. But this is a gimmick match against one of the hottest babyfaces in the company. I’m looking for Trick to get the win in this one.
Winner: Trick Williams.
Je’Von Evans vs. Ethan Page.
Evans keeps coming and never stops. He’s a future star and a charismatic dude. But that being said, Ethan Page is the money here and the one with the momentum. Look for Page to have a great fight on his hands, take a beating, and make Evans look like the second coming of R-Truth. But, against all odds, All Ego Ethan Page will pick up the win.
Winner: Ethan Page.
And there you go. So, those are my predictions? What are yours? Share them, along with thoughts, comments, and any questions to Doug28352@yahoo.com. Thanks for reading and the continued support. Take care, and I’ll see you at Vengeance.
