I’m Doug, your resident party host and Guiding Light. This is the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. Let’s roll.
If not John Cena, who would you pick to Dethrone Cody Rhodes?
Right now, I’m hoping it’s not John Cena. It should be a full-time WWE star and not a part-timer who is on a retirement tour. That being said, my pick to take the belt from Cody Rhodes? I’d go with CM Punk.
Nia Jax topped the ‘MOST OVERRATED’ in the 2024 Wrestling Observer awards. Thoughts?
Nia isn’t nearly as bad as she used to be, but I can see this. Of the non-AEW wrestlers listed, Nia is perceived as being sloppy, and perception is 98% of reality. But honestly, Mercedes Mone, Moxley, Mariah, and Okada are all far more overrated these days than Nia.
Should Heath Slater make a WWE comeback?
I had the chance to see Slater a few weeks ago and he’s in great shape and definitely ready to have another run in the WWE. I’d love to see Heath back as part of WWE. And don’t forget. He’s got kids.
Looks like Jacob Fatu vs. Solo Sikoa coming soon. Is it WrestleMania or too soon?
Fatu versus Solo at Mania? That sounds good to me.
Your thoughts on Vickie Guerrero?
A very underrated heel who can generate more heat with two words than most wrestlers can ever dream of. I’ve always been a Vickie Guerrero fan.
What do you think of Tony Khan getting booed in Australia? Was it justified after all the controversy surrounding the event?
After the way the show was handled and set up, the build or lack of for the event, and the borrowed ring and faulty set-up, the blame goes to the boss. The fans felt slighted and treated like afterthoughts, and they were, so they let their feelings be felt. It was well deserved.
Would you like to see Bron Breakker vs. Jacob Fatu go down at some point?
That sounds like a true banger to me. I’d like to see it happen.
So, instead of Cena versus Cody or Gunther at WrestleMania, how about Cena versus Joe Hendry for the TNA World Championship instead? Thoughts?
That would be an excellent move, that keeps Cena away from the WWE title picture, gives the fans a great match for a World Championship, elevates Joe Hendry, and would be fun to see. I have no problems with this and it actually sounds like a win-all for TNA, WWE, Hendry, and Cena.
Tiffany Stratton & Trish Stratus will be teaming up at Elimination Chamber to face Nia Jax & Candice LeRae. Thoughts?
A filler match to give Trish a chance to perform in her hometown, plus build on the Nia versus Tiffy rivalry. This is just a filler match at best, but it should work to put Trish over and give Tiffany a good face rub as well.
The Gunn Club versus Austin Theory & Grayson Waller. Who wins?
The Gunns are good talents, getting better every time, and are absolutely not Ass Boys, but Waller and Theory are the better team in my opinion, despite that debacle last night at NXT Vengeance. I think Waller and Theory would win.
And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And with that, let’s wrap it up. Take care and be well, my friends. I’ll see you at the matches.
