It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug. Let’s roll.

Do you think Corey Graves deserves any heat he gets or should people move on?

Corey Graves is an excellent commentator who had a legitimate gripe. Did he handle it correctly? Maybe not, but it seems that WWE has put the matter behind them, and the fans should as well. It’s time to move on.

Was AEW’s choice to use a borrowed ring a mistake? Should they have prioritized quality over convenience?

It’s all about perception and the ring they borrowed was smaller, had a bent ring post, and looked bush league. The ring apron didn’t fit either. It was a decision that didn’t work out as they hoped. Live and learn, I guess.

Vic Joseph & Jeremy Borash are the commentary team for WWE LFG. Thoughts?

It should be a good team. Vic is the voice of NXT, as we all know, while Borash was the voice of TNA for many years. They’ll do well in this role.

Athena Hits 800 Days As ROH Women’s World Champion. Thoughts?

Athena is the champion, but for a promotion that means nothing and has no television, so does it matter or count? If Athena is so good, why isn’t she on AEW TV defending her title or challenging Toni Storm or Mercedes Mone? 800 days and it means absolutely nothing.

Buddy Matthews tweeted, “So thoughts after #AEWGrandSlamAustralia – If it wasn’t a 16×16 SHT wrestling ring!”* he wrote. “1: Wouldn’t have destroyed my ankle on my entrance due to holes in the padding. 2: Okada wouldn’t have been able to put his foot on the rope & I’d be champion. Sht happens…”*. And less than 45 minutes later, the tweet was deleted. Thoughts?

The post was deleted because at the end of the day, Buddy still works for AEW, and being critical of the company is frowned upon. Buddy has every right to be upset, but given where he works and who he works for, it’s probably best to say nothing.

Ric Flair recently commented that he wants Evolution to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, thus earning him a third WWE HOF ring. Is Flair right? Does Evolution belong in the WWE Hall of Fame?

Ric is sounding a little greedy. Yes, Evolution, as a faction, does deserve the honor of being in the Hall of Fame someday. But many others deserve to be inducted first.

What are your thoughts & memories of Nicole Bass?

A Temu version of Chyna. Bass had the physique and muscles but didn’t have the charisma or presence to come across as a big star. She was B-string at best.

Captain Redneck Dick Murdoch versus Drew McIntyre. Who wins?

This would be an amazing match. When he was on, nobody was better than Murdoch. And Drew is in a league of his own. It’s a tough call here. I think Murdoch would sneak out a win in the end.

Samantha Irvin says that Vince McMahon would have found a place for her in WWE, unlike Triple H, who wanted her to remain an announcer. Thoughts?

Given what we’ve learned about Vince over the past few years, one has to wonder just what place Samantha might be speaking of. Vince would most likely let her try different things, but what would it take for her to get those new roles? Triple H had her in a role where she excelled. She should have been happy. Now, she’s just making excuses.

The Miz versus MJF. Who wins?

MJF may be our scumbag, but the Miz is, wait for it, AWESOME! Miz would win.

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And with that, let’s wrap it up. Take care and be well, my friends. I’ll see you at the matches.
