I’m Doug, and this is the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. Are you ready to rock & rumble? Let’s roll.
The Rock & Roll Express versus Demolition. Who wins?
Are we talking about in their prime or now? Both teams still make appearances, although I think Eadie & Darsow have finally quit wrestling. I do not doubt that they could still go. And Ricky & Robert were on AEW just a few weeks ago. Both teams are legends and awesome. I think Demolition would win any actual match though.
The Undertaker recently praised Michael Hayes for his work as a producer, stating that his impact behind the scenes surpasses his achievements as a wrestler. Do you agree? Is Hayes’s impact stronger as a backstage talent or as one of the Fabulous Freebirds?
I’ll have to agree with the Dead Man. Michael Hayes and the Fabulous Freebirds had a great run and created a legacy that will live forever. That is indisputable. But working backstage at WWE, Hayes has influenced far more wrestlers and their careers than one can possibly imagine. Being a Freebird was a great and important part of professional wrestling, but for every performer in WWE, his role as the man behind the scenes is more important.
Should Kevin Knight return to NJPW, sign with AEW, or make the jump to WWE?
I had to look up who this guy is. He should do what’s best for him and his family. Knight will do well regardless of whatever company he ends up working for.
Do you agree that Cody leaving AEW started the company’s decline, or was it just one piece of the puzzle?
Cody was the heart and soul of AEW when it first began. When the soul is gone, there is no recovery, and eventually, the end comes.
Do you want to see Tay Melo return to AEW? Should AEW reintegrate her into the women’s division, or would she be better off continuing her run elsewhere?
Tay has never been a big star for AEW and to be honest, is lucky to still have a job. If she wasn’t married to Sammy Guevera, she most likely would have been released a while ago. I’d suggest hanging in there and hoping that someone in AEW remembers her and gives her a spot on TV. Otherwise, just stay at home, keep playing Mama, and keep collecting those checks for doing nothing. AEW is where her best interests lie.
Do you think AEW should be doing more to bring Britt Baker back?
If she’s under contract and healthy, they should use her. She’s one of the few ladies in AEW who is over with the fans and can perform at any level necessary. If they’re not going to use her, let her go and release her from her contract.
Would you like to see Seth Rollins vs. Roman Reigns vs. CM Punk in a Triple Threat Match at WrestleMania 41?
That would be a banger of a match for Night 1 of Mania, with the winner of the Triple Threat fighting the WWE Champion on Night 2. Works for me. Book it, Triple H.
Do you agree with Michael Cole’s decision to stay with WWE until retirement?
Michael Cole has been doing a great job and enjoys what he’s doing with WWE. He should stick around so long as he can keep up the pace and they want him. I absolutely agree with his decision.
Who was your favorite Japanese wrestler?
If we go back in time, I’d say the Great Muta. And as for current wrestlers, it has to be Asuka. She is amazing.
Bob Backlund & Ricky Steamboat versus Superstar Billy Graham & Ric Flair. Who wins?
Can you imagine all of these men in their primes, going at it in the center of the ring at Madison Square Garden or hell, even the Omni in Atlanta? Talk about a main event dream match. Backlund and Steamboat would win since they’re the babyfaces, but it wouldn’t matter. It would just be a spectacle and one for the ages.
And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And with that, let’s wrap it up. Take care and be well, my friends. I’ll see you at the matches.
