This is the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug. You have the questions and I have the answers. Let’s rock.

That disastrous Thunder Rosa run-in on AEW Dynamite. Why do you think it went so wrong?

I don’t know if everyone just forgot their spots, messed up on purpose, or what the deal was with that whole scenario. Thunder Rosa came in with a chair to clear the ring and it just fell apart from there. The heels didn’t sell or clear the ring, and Rosa didn’t seem to know what to do next. For a national promotion on worldwide television, it was a totally Indyreffic spot. And they wonder why people call AEW an outlaw mudshow.

The Final Boss, The Rock, is due to be on Smackdown tonight. Care to speculate what he might be saying?

With The Rock, it honestly could be anything. I do expect that we’ll see Cody wrestle on both nights of WrestleMania, defending his title twice, although who the opponents will be is subject to speculation. One will be the winner of the Elimination Chamber and the other? Maybe Roman? Maybe The Rock? Honestly, with Dwayne, it could be anything. We’ll have to wait and see.

Vince McMahon reportedly wanted Ronda Rousey to win the 2022 Royal Rumble by eliminating all 29 other women in the match. Thoughts?

Luckily, cooler heads prevailed because a move like that would have totally buried the WWE Women’s Division to a degree that I doubt they would have ever recovered from. I get it that Vince wanted to heavily push Rousey. She was a big investment for the WWE. Luckily, that idea was bad and never came to fruition.

Tessa Blanchard got “she’s a racist” chants at TNA Impact. Is it time for a public apology?

With today’s woken fans and overly sensitive audience, a public apology would mean absolutely nothing. Tessa needs to embrace her heel persona and play the role of the heel. Play up on all of the hatred but at the same time, give Tessa an ally who just happens to be a person of color. Imagine the perception. Tessa is a racist, but she has a minority partner or manager. It takes the wind out of the racist argument. And then with nothing to back up their arguments, the fickle fans can move on to something or someone else. Tessa and TNA need to do something, but they need to be creative and smart about it and take the controversy head-on. Otherwise, they’re screwed.

Do you think Malakai Black should return to WWE? If so, which faction (if any) would suit him best?

It’s not should, but will return to the WWE. As for what faction, I keep hearing that The Wyatt Sicks might be looking for a leader. Or maybe he should start a faction of his own. Pete Dunne seems to be available, and also, imagine an alliance between Black and Karrion Kross. Tick tock.

Do you want to see Chelsea Green appear in TNA?

I want to see Chelsea everywhere WWE can put her, be it RAW, Smackdown, NXT, or TNA. Green is not only the longest reigning Women’s United States Champion of all time, but she’s also very entertaining and a star.

Cody’s run as champion is about to reach one year, did he live up to the hype?

I think Cody has done an excellent job as the WWE Champion. No arguments here.

Do you like The Opps (Samoa Joe, HOOK, Katsuyori Shibata)?

It’s too soon to tell, but the group seems forced. Why are they together? What’s the common thread? It just looks as if AEW wanted something to do with Hook and Shibata and since Samoa Joe was back, they just threw them all together. This all seems last minute and thrown together. They might end up being a good faction or they might end up sucking. I just don’t understand why.

Did Christopher Daniels need to do a retirement tour?

Daniels had essentially quit wrestling a few years ago, but we’ve been seeing him every week as an agent and personality. Daniels was not a big enough star to justify a full retirement tour. He wasn’t coming back and his days as a star were long ago. One match was more than enough.

Do you think Big Bill is underrated?

I hate the name Big Bill. Big Cass was much better as a name, as was W. Morrissey. Big Bill is a stupid name. He’s a good wrestler and has a lot of potential to be a big star one day. He has the talent and skills. And yes, he could be used much better.

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And with that, I’m out of here. Take care, my friends. Watch out for foreign objects and I’ll see you at the matches.
