Every day, my Twitter feed is filled with dozens of random questions. This is where I provide the answers. It’s Ultimate X Q&A. Let’s do this.
How many donuts are too many donuts for someone to eat on a weekend?
It all depends on the person and the size of the donuts. Also, what kind of donuts? Are they a snack or a meal? The answer is that no set number of donuts is too many so long as they are good and yummy.
Would you rather know how to take good notes or how to fix a car?
Why should I be able to fix a car? I have mechanics, friends, and sexy men covered in grease for that. I can do the basics, but I don’t do mechanical stuff. Taking notes though, is an important part of my life, for reviewing shows, writing opinion pieces, and all sorts of stuff. I’d rather be good at taking notes, and luckily, I am.
What is one hobby or interest you’ve always wanted to explore but haven’t yet?
I want to learn how to play the piano. I can do Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, but that’s it. I still fancy myself a Liberace. Maybe one day. I can dream anyhow.
Do you sleep with your pets on the bed?
The dog, no. My bed is up too high and he can’t jump that high. But the cat? Of course, he’s allowed on the bed. He’s a cat. It’s not like we could tell him no. He wouldn’t listen anyhow.
Who is your favorite character from mythology?
When I was a kid, I was big into mythology and a big fan of Poseidon. But as I grew older, I realized what an asshole he was. My other favorite was Hephaestus, the son of Hera and Zeus, the smith for the gods. I think he was also the god of fire. He was lame and a cripple, but he was a badass and he was the god that everyone knew not to cross.
Have you ever used a typewriter?
Many times. And yes, I took typing in high school. It was a great learning experience that comes in so handy, even today, on the computer. My typing style was never the by-the-book style that they tried to teach, but I was faster and made fewer mistakes than the teacher’s prize students. It used to piss my teacher off so much.
Would you rather have fame or wealth?
Wealth. I don’t like the spotlight and prefer to be left alone more often than not. Privacy and fame do not go together. But money is never a bad thing. Show me the money.
Have you ever bullied someone?
Nope. Not that I can recall or think of. Being a bully is not in my nature. I was bullied a few times as a kid, which sucks, but I was never one to take part in that kind of shit.
What kind of employee refuses to answer a simple email from their supervisor?
That is an employee who needs to be reminded of their responsibilities, and if the e-mail is work-related and they still refuse to answer, that is an employee who needs to be terminated. That’s the kind of employee they are.
What’s your favorite old show or movie?
One of my favorite movies, which I make a point of watching at least once a year, is East of Eden, starring James Dean and Julie Harris. It came out in 1955. It’s a great classic.
Do you still own a physical Bible at home?
I have several, including one that a friend gave me for Christmas back in 1992, as well as the old family Bible that belonged to my Grandma Vick. It’s probably about 110 years old. And yes, I do look at and read both of them regularly.
And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And with that, let’s close up the shop today. Take care and be well, my friends. I’ll see you at the Toy Store.
