I’m Doug, and this is the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. Are you ready to rock & rumble? Let’s roll.
Is it time to bring Enzo Amore back to the WWE fold?
Enzo is a great talker and always entertaining, but WWE has a pretty stacked roster right now and I just can’t see a place for Enzo right now. He was terminated for a reason, and I don’t see any reason for WWE to bring him back right now.
Ryan Nemeth has filed a lawsuit against AEW, Tony Khan, and CM Punk. Have you seen this? Thoughts?
I spoke of this in my last Q&A. Nemeth is, in my opinion, just trying to find an easy payday. This lawsuit has no merit and is an absolute joke, just like Ryan Nemeth.
Who is a future WWE Champion?
Bron Breakker will be there one day, as will also be Chelsea Green. Both of these stars are the faces of the future of WWE. The future looks mighty bright.
Jack Brisco versus Jack Swagger. Who wins?
Swagger is very underrated and deserves much credit for a great career. I will always be proud to say, “We the People!”, when Swagger shows up on my TV. But against Jack Brisco, it’d be one tough day at the office. Brisco wins.
What are your thoughts on General Skandor Akbar. Was he a great manager?
I only had the chance to see Akbar in action on television for World Class and USWA so I can’t really say if he was one of the greats or not. He always had an impressive group as part of Devastation, Inc., and got great reactions from the crowds, so I guess that should count for something. But honestly, I don’t know enough about him to answer this question.
Now that it’s over, give me your thoughts on The Acclaimed.
Good tag team with a lot of potential that never seemed to hit their stride in AEW. Caster was great with the raps, but aside from the intro, the matches were average at best. The Acclaimed was never bad, but they just didn’t impress me as anything more than an average team at best. I could see the potential and the appeal, but they just didn’t do it for me.
Do you think Hook should stay in AEW or head to WWE?
If Hook wants to stay the same, never improve, and never be more than he is right now, then he should stay in AEW. If he wants to learn, grow as a performer and character, and have a chance to become a major star one day, he should reach out to WWE for an opportunity.
Victoria versus Rachel Rodriguez. Who wins?
I’m a big fan of Victoria and she absolutely should be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. But in a match against Rachel, I have to think Liv Morgan’s running buddy would get the win. It’d be a good match, but Rachel is the favorite for sure.
Describe Ivy Nile in three words or less.
Determined, powerhouse, and spunky.
Do you think WWE made the right call in moving away from political storylines?
Political storylines are a no-winner these days, with the world so divided and crazy. No matter which direction the stories would go, half the fans would be alienated. Wrestling is an escape from reality, and politically themed stories would defeat the purpose. Those kind of stories are best left in the past.
And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And with that, let’s wrap it up. Take care and be well, my friends. I’ll see you at the matches.
