I’m Doug, and this is the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. Are you ready to rock & rumble? Let’s roll.
Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez won WWE Women’s tag titles on “WWE Raw” for a historic third time. Thoughts?
Liv and Rachel have become two of my favorite characters in WWE as of late, and I’m glad to see them wearing tag team gold. Bianca and Naomi had a good run, but with the shadow of Jade Cargill hanging over them, they never really gelled to me as a team. But Rachel and Liv have been champions before and I feel that a long reign as the tag team champions will do much to elevate the titles. It’s a good move by WWE.
Are you Team Jey or Team Gunther?
It’s good to see Jey getting a push, but I’d like to see The Ring General keep his World Championship at WrestleMania. Team Gunther here.
Would you like to see Wes Lee move from NXT to the main roster in WWE?
I’ve been greatly impressed by Wes Lee in recent months, but I’m scared that if he was moved to the main roster, he’d be lost in the shuffle and stuck in catering, waiting to do a job against LA Knight. For now, Wes needs to stay in NXT, build his name and recognition, continue to get better, and wait until the right time for the main roster switch.
Do you agree that The Rock’s return is nothing but good for WWE, or do you think it overshadows the full-time stars?
I think having The Rock back looks good on paper and may spike the ratings but in the big picture of things, having The Rock there as the Final Boss adds nothing to the story and is more of a distraction than anything else. WWE doesn’t need him right now.
There are rumors that Vince McMahon has been meeting with former WWE officials, plus officials at Fpx about starting a new wrestling promotion. Thoughts?
A spokesperson from Fox denies any involvement with Vince McMahon and this breaking news has been debunked. We may see Vince McMahon back in the game, but at this point, it seems more focused on Hollyweird than pro wrestling.
Elektra Lopez is allegedly in talks to join TNA. Thoughts?
Elektra is a decent worker, but I honestly have never seen anything outstanding or special about her. That’s just my opinion and I could be wrong. If she can get a job at TNA and continue to improve and build her career, more power to her. Congratulations.
When do you think we will get Fraxiom vs Hardys?
It was announced last night on NXT. It’s Fraxiom versus Matt & Jeff Hardy at WWE NXT Roadblock in two weeks for Hardy’s TNA Tag Team Championship titles. Ask and ye shall receive.
Do you think Ricky Saints should’ve gone up to the main roster or WWE NXT?
WWE is playing this right by having Saints start with NXT before moving to the main roster. It gives Ricky a chance to establish his identity and character with the WWE fans, plus get used to the WWE wrestling style and differences in TV production. Ricky will have his time on the main roster later in his career, probably in the build to WrestleMania 42, which will happen in his hometown of New Orleans next year. WWE is starting slow with Starks and building, as they should.
Akira Tozawa versus Drake Maverick. Who wins?
Drake Maverick, also known as Rockstar Spud, currently works for WWE Creative, so this match could happen at some point. And thinking about these two, I’d be willing to bet the match would steal the blow and be an absolute banger. Given time, this would be a wild match. It’s a tough call, but I think Maverick would probably win.
Who is the greatest tag team of all time? The Hardys or The Dudleys?
Neither. The GOATs of tag team wrestling are either The Anderson Brothers, Ole & Gene, or The Midnight Express. But if I have to choose between Matt & Jeff or Bubba Ray & Devon, it’s a tough call. But we NC guys have to stick together. I’m saying The Hardys.
And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And with that, let’s wrap it up. Take care and be well, my friends. I’ll see you at the matches.
