I’m Doug, your resident Guiding Light and Party Host. And this is the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. Do you have questions? I have the answers. Are you ready? Let’s roll.
Should Finn Balor bring the Demon back?
For the occasional special occasion and when needed, yes, but aside from that, no. The Demon, Finn’s alter ego, is a special character that should only be used when Finn has no other options, as a last resort. Less is more and keep it special.
Do you like the name Ricky Saints, or do you prefer Ricky Starks?
I can take or leave either one. So far as names go, considering Stark’s background, it fits and could have been much worse. I don’t care which one WWE and Ricky use.
Would you prefer the Hall of Fame to stay after SmackDown or move to its night?
I’d prefer to see the HOF have its own night and presentation. Those getting the honor of being inducted deserve it and it would be nice to see the HOF get the recognition it deserves rather than be rushed and crammed into a Smackdown taping.
Should Spike Dudley be in the WWE Hall of Fame?
Bubba Ray and Devon are already there, so why the hell not? He’s worthy, in a Koko B. Ware or James Dudley kind of way. Add him.
Christopher Daniels was caught blading/punching himself in the head to increase blood, and it was all on live TV. The camera switched to Daniels too soon and he was exposed on Dynamite. Thoughts?
It was a bad production truck error for AEW and looks bad in general. A professional wrestling company with professionals at the helm would know and do better, but this is AEW, so it’s to be expected.
What do you think Sonya Deville should do next? Should she continue her wrestling journey?
Sonya has already started a podcast with her wife so there is that. And she’s talented in that ring, both in MMA and wrestling, so I’m sure many options will be available for her, be it TNA, AEW, MLW, or something else. She’s a good talent and won’t be on the open market for long. I’m hoping WWE will change their mind and keep her services, but she’ll be okay regardless.
Which match are you most excited for at WWE Elimination Chamber 2025?
The Men’s Elimination Chamber match. It’s truly a wide-open field and any of the men involved in the match can be the winner and it’d make sense from a storyline perspective. It’s not predictable at all and that’s a good feeling.
Do you think Travis Scott’s appearance will add to the show’s hype?
Who? Yeah, I saw the announcement. A rapper will be in the audience. That makes it a must-see for me. Truthfully, most fans, are here for the wrestling and the event. Travis Scott or anyone else for that matter, sitting in the front row of the audience, doesn’t matter in the slightest, nor should it.
What do you think Roman Reigns’ next move will be?
Sometime between now and Mania, he’ll make an appearance and use his clout and the skills of Paul Heyman to demand and get a prime spot at WrestleMania, perhaps even challenging his Final Boss for control of the family. We’ll just have to wait and see.
Do you think adding an extra WWE NXT show is a smart move for WrestleMania week?
The audience is going to be there and it just adds to what a major event WrestleMania week has become. Friday night is a live Smackdown taping. Saturday is the NXT PLE and Night One of WrestleMania. Sunday is Night Two of WrestleMania. Monday is a live RAW taping, and then Tuesday is the live NXT event. And the Hall of Fame ceremony will be squeezed in there somewhere as well. So that’s seven live events in five days. That’s a lot of wrestling, but wrestling fans are a special group and live for moments like this. It adds to the mystique and hype. It’s cool.
And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And with that, let’s wrap it up. Take care and be well, my friends. Watch out for foreign objects, and I’ll see you at the matches.
