Welcome to the show. It’s the only pro wrestling Q&A that matters. You have questions and I have answers. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug, your party host and Guiding Light. Are you ready? Let’s do this.
Are you surprised that the Queen of the Ring bombed at the box office?
Not really. A movie about Women’s wrestling is a very niche product with limited appeal. Add that there were no major Hollywood stars attached to the project and that cuts the audience even more. I suspect that this movie will make its name with the streaming services. That’s where most viewers will take note and decide to give it a shot.
Would Ospreay be viewed differently if he signed with WWE, or is he better off in AEW?
To be a big fish in a smaller pond, Ospreay is better off in AEW. To be a top-mid-carder who is more respected and taken more seriously, Ospreay would have done better to go to WWE. More eyes would be on him with the WWE.
Uncle Howdy and The Wyatt Sicks have not been seen in over 90 days. Thoughts?
Honestly, this doesn’t look good for The Wyatt group. At this point in WWE, the focus is on the build to WrestleMania, so it’s not likely to see The Wyatt Sicks brought in and given a huge push or moment now. I guess that we’ll see them appear right after WrestleMania. If they don’t reappear then, we’ll probably never see them again.
So, Roman Reigns is back and went after both Seth Rollins and CM Punk. Does this mean a triple threat at Mania?
That’s what I would be thinking. It seems the most likely scenario.
Rhea Ripley confronts Bianca Belair on RAW. Both Bianca and Rhea disrespect Iyo Sky so she slaps them both. Another triple-threat match for Mania?
Sure. The more, the merrier. If any three women can pull it off and make it a Mani-worthy main event, these are the ladies who can do it.
Greg “The Hammer” Valentine versus LA Knight. Who wins?
LA Knight is a decent wrestler and is very over with the fans. YEAH! But he’s not the Hammer. I’d choose Greg to win this encounter. YEAH!
What can Hulk Hogan do to win people back over?
The best thing Hogan can do is just shut up. The constant exaggerations and lies have gotten old, and much like his peer, The Nature Boy, every time Hogan makes a public appearance or does an interview, he makes people mad and reminds the public of what a scum bucket he truly is. Hogan will never be the hero he once was, but absence makes the heart grow fonder. If he fades away and lays low for a bit, his popularity will either increase or at least won’t decline as much.
If D’Lo Brown gets his Hall of Fame moment, should Droz be inducted alongside him?
Droz really didn’t have that much of a career to be considered Hall of Fame-worthy. I get where D-Lo is coming from, and if he ever is inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, dedicating it to Droz would be a nice gesture, but I just don’t see Droz getting a separate induction. I just can’t see it.
Would you want to see LayCool back together at the WWE Hall of Fame?
Layla can induct Michelle McCool when she gets her ring. And then, they’d be back together. Yay!
What did you think about WWE Raw this week?
It wasn’t a bad show. Watching 20,000 fans YEET was a good start, although the match wasn’t much that followed. I just don’t see Jey as a main event top guy. I do see Waller and Theory as big stars. Logan was great, and the crowd was hot all night. I felt bad for Iyo with the reaction she got, plus that awful interview, but the slaps to Rhea & Bianca worked for her. The main event was good. Punk and Rollins have great chemistry. And Roman returned. Who can ask for more? On a scale of 1-10, I’d give it a solid 8.
And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And with that, let’s wrap it up. Take care and be well, my friends. Watch out for foreign objects, and I’ll see you at the matches.
