Does hot sauce belong on Steak?

That sounds positively savage. Who the hell would ruin a steak with hot sauce? I’m disgusted at the mere thought. No, keep that nasty Devil’s spit away from all proper foods.

The average person drinks 3 cups of coffee a day. Are you above or below average?

I may average three cups of coffee in a decade, and that’s being very optimistic and generous. Dracula didn’t drink wine and I don’t drink coffee. So, I would be below average on that one.

Have you ever spotted a deer while out in nature?

We have four deer that regularly show up in our backyard to graze at night, plus I once hit a deer, in the middle of town, at 9:30 in the morning. I also see them regularly at the local college grazing on the fields. So, that would be yes. They’re quite common around here.

If you could change your first name tomorrow, what would you change it to?

Why would I want to change my name? My real name, Doug, is already on the website and business cards. I have developed a brand, and I’m fine with my name as it is. But, if I had to change it, my first name would be Vincent, after you-know-who, of course.

Would you live in the hippie 60s?

While there are some things that I, using today’s standards, might find a little awkward, I think the Hippie ’60s would be a great time to explore and live. So, that would be a yes.

Who’s poster was on your wall when you were a teenager?

Alice Cooper, Farrah Fawcett, and Ric Flair.

If you were an alien visiting Earth for the first time, what would confuse you the most?

Why are men pretending to be women? And why are people pretending to support them in their delusions?

What’s the greatest pie of all time?

I like most pies, but Apple or Pecan are my favorites, depending on my mood.

If you could eat one country’s cuisine forever, which would it be?

Chinese, of course. Just take me to the buffet and set me free. I’m happy.

If you had to replace your hands with tools, what would you choose?

Grabbers, like us old people used to pick things up without bending. That would be the most practical choice.

When you see the word “General”, who’s the first person that comes to mind?

My first thought is car insurance. But, this specifies a person and that would be the person that I’m allegedly named after, General Douglas McArthur.

Do you believe that the more you mature, the more you value privacy?

That makes sense. I know, as I’ve gotten older, I have far less patience with people in general and most other things as well. I tend to prefer being alone more often than not unless it’s one of a very special and elite group of people. I guess that would count as being more private, right?

Do you believe in ghosts?

Yes, I do. Too many situations and experiences in my life to believe otherwise.

What was your favorite meal growing up?

I’m not sure, but I think it was simple, maybe hot dogs and fries. That was my Dad’s go-to when he didn’t want to cook, but it was his turn.

Did you get the flu vaccine this year?

Nope. After speaking with a doctor that I have much respect for, given all of my other medical issues, vaccines would probably do more damage than good for me. And after that Covid farce that we all experienced a couple of years ago, I have no trust in any so-called vaccine that our Government tries to force upon us. I’ll take my chances.

What’s your biggest regret in life?

Not staying in Wilmington in ’97. A few certain people that I trusted more than I ever should have. And being an idiot and losing a certain someone a few months ago because I’m a coward and scared to take a chance.

If an alien species wanted to understand humanity through music, which one song would you give them, and why?

That’s a tough call since so many songs are popping into my head, but one that really explains what our world is and has become. That’s more like a playlist than just one song or artist. But one that I think might tell some truths and offer some insight. How about Struggle Jennings and Caitlynne Curtis – God, We Need You Now?

The Justice League or The Avengers?

In terms of pure power, it’s the Justice League. Superman, Zantana, and Green Lantern ensure that. But my personal favorite team of the two? With the rotating rosters and variety of characters and personalities, it will always be The Avengers.
