Welcome to the show. It’s the only pro wrestling Q&A that matters. You have questions and I have answers. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug, your party host and Guiding Light. Are you ready? Let’s do this.

Should Mickie James be inducted into the 2025 WWE Hall of Fame?

Mickie has had a great career with multiple World Championships to her credit. A Hall of Fame induction would be a nice consolation prize after being released from the WWE LFG project in favor of the Undertaker’s wife. That would be a yes.

Should Rhea Ripley be added to the title match, or should Belair vs. IYO SKY stay as planned?

Iyo versus Bianca sounds boring. That match needs a boost and her name is Rhea Ripley. Add her to the match.

Would you listen to a Seth Rollins Bears podcast, or should he stick to wrestling?

Seth is a smart guy and entertaining. If he chooses to do a podcast in the future, I’d listen.

You’re told to start a weekly Wrestling Roundtable Talk Show with any five wrestling personalities/talents you choose. Think The View, but about wrestling. Who would you pick for your show?

I’d want a variety of talents & personalities with different thoughts and opinions about pro wrestling. I’d exclude any talents that already have a podcast or regular outlet for their opinions. My moderator would be Renee Paquette. We need to get her away from AEW ASAP! Filling out the other four spots would be The Franchise, Shane Douglas, Chris Bey, Lisa Moretti, aka Ivory, and my little bro & buddy who just happens to be a veteran of nearly thirty-plus years, Michael Youngblood.

Giant Baba versus The Great Khali. Who wins?

Baba was looking rough in his latter years, but was still a legend in Japan and won several NWA World Championship titles. Khali always looked rough and although he was an attraction, he was never a great wrestler. With both men in their primes, Baba would win.

Why do people praise Terry Funk and Mick Foley for doing hardcore/death matches but act like Jon Moxley is the worst thing ever for doing the same shit?

When Mick and Funk did their crazy stunts, they were for a reason and made sense in the context of the story they were telling. And yes, it was occasionally out of control, excessive, and tasteless, but we knew that wasn’t typical and that Funk and Foley could do other things as well. The spots were crazy, but memorable and left an impact that told a story. Moxley just seems to be doing stuff to do stuff, and it makes no sense in the context of the match or story. Moxley just likes to bleed, and that crap with the nails from Wednesday? That was just stupidity for the sake of being stupid. No one will remember it a week from now, except for sticking in the back and being stupid. Extreme is good when it serves a purpose and has a reason. Moxley’s crap doesn’t.

Rhea Ripley & Buddy Matthews versus Triple H & Chyna. Who wins?

It’d be a fun match. Rhea is a much better wrestler than Chyna was, but Triple H probably has Buddy beat on the in-ring skills department. Triple H and Chyna would win. They’re the bigger names, plus Hunter signs the checks.

Recast the television show Good Times but with wrestlers in all the featured roles.

Oh yeah, this will get me in trouble for sure. But what the hell? Let’s do it. The Good Times cast of characters would be James, Florida, Wionna, JJ, Michael, Thelma, Sweet Daddy, Penny, and Bookman. For James and Florida Evans, I’d go with Ron Simmons and Jazz. The character of JJ, aka DYNAMITE!, would be played by R-Truth. Wionna? That’s Bianca Belair for sure. Michael & Thelma would be Ricochet & Naomi. Sweet Daddy, the loveable Pimp, would be portrayed by The Godfather. For Penny, originally played by Janet Jackson, I’d use AJ Lee. And finally, Mr. Bookman, aka Buffalo Butt, I’d cast Jonathan Coachman.

What’s the first name that comes to mind when you think of the NWA World Television Championship? What’s the first name that comes to mind when you think of the WWE Intercontinental Championship? And if these two wrestlers fought in a Street Fight, who wins?

For the NWA World Television Championship, the first name that comes to mind is Arn Anderson. 4-times he wore that title. And as for the Intercontinental Championship, Tito Santana. I was reading about Tito earlier today so he’s on my mind already. And if these two men fought in a street fight, Arn could count on the aid of his partners in the Horsemen to allow him the victory.

Are you a fan of Midget Wrestling, or is it too politically incorrect and insensitive?

It’s politically incorrect and insensitive by modern standards, but it was also entertaining to watch. It also provided a great career and life for many talented performers of shorter stature. If the midget wrestlers didn’t mind doing it, why should anyone else complain? It was an important part of the history of pro wrestling and added to any card or event. I’d love to see it make a comeback.

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And with that, let’s wrap it up. Take care and be well, my friends. Watch out for foreign objects, and I’ll see you at the matches.
