Welcome to the show. It’s the only pro wrestling Q&A that matters. You have questions and I have answers. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug, your party host and Guiding Light. Are you ready? Let’s do this.

Now that John Cena has invoked his name, will we be seeing Ric Flair brought in as part of the build for WrestleMania 41?

I truly hope not. If Ric is brought in, he’ll try to make the angle all about Flair. That’s what he does. WWE can keep control of Flair better than most others, but Flair’s time has passed and there is no need for the Nature Boy in this angle. Let us remember Flair as he used to be, and not the bad joke he’s been over the past few years.

Uptown Downtown, Austin Theory & Grayson Waller versus Dick Slater & Bob Orton Jr. Who wins?

In a shoot, Slater and Orton all the way. They were two legit tough hombres who kicked ass both in and out of the ring. But in a wrestling match, hell, I’d still go with Orton and Slater. I’m a big fan of Theory and Waller, but they’re over regardless of wins or losses. And the veteran experience of the former NWA Tag Team Champions would be too much for them.

What’s the deal with Lyra Valkyria? I’ve watched her wrestle several times and I just don’t get it or her. Thoughts?

Someone high up in WWE management sees something in her that you and I don’t. She’s a good enough wrestler, but she seems awkward in the ring and has no character to speak of that I’ve seen yet. Maybe it’s a work in progress, but I don’t see her as a big star yet.

So, it’s Rhea versus Iyo on RAW and the winner fights Bianca at Mania. Do you like this better or would you rather see a Triple-Threat match at Mania?

I’m torn on this. I like Iyo and don’t want to see her cast aside as an afterthought. I realize that the money is for Rhea and Bianca, but I want Iyo to be involved somehow. Since Bianca is the special guest referee for the Rhea versus Iyo match on RAW, I’m calling it here. Bianca screws over Iyo and costs her the title. The match is made for Bianca and Rhea at Mania. But for a twist, Iyo is appointed the special guest referee. Remember, I’m calling it first. That sounds like a sufficient plan to me. Book it, Triple H.

What’s the best version of the Four Horsemen, besides the original 4 and the Barry Windham/HOF version?

The best is the original group, and then the until with Windham replacing Ole was second. I agree with that. The best combination that was neither of those? I’ll go with Ric Flair, Arn Anderson, Brian Pillman, and Chris Benoit.

The War Raiders versus The Natural Disasters. Who wins?

Four huge embodiments of fleshy man meat and weight. This wouldn’t be a pretty match, but it would be fun to see. A tough call here, but I’ll go with the Natual Disasters for this one. They had Jimmy Hart and that would make all the difference.

Dragon Lee got unmasked on RAW. Thoughts?

I remember when something like this used to be a big deal. Now, it’s just a small piece of a bad story and angle, more of an afterthought than anything else. I’m not a big fan of Dragon Lee or the LWO, but Lee deserved better than this.

The Monday Night Messiah Seth Rollins, The OTC Roman Reigns, and Jon Moxley versus The SHIELD! Who wins?

The original Shield would beat their future self counterparts. The Shield, then, was a unit, all on the same page. Now, despite all the added experience, Roman, Seth, and Moxley also have extra baggage and ulterior motives in everything they do. They would be three separate wrestlers and not a team. The Shield would win.

Cain Velasquez was just sentenced to 5 years in prison. Thoughts?

I’m torn on this one. Velasquez went after a piece of shit that molested his son over a hundred times and I commend him for that. That bastard deserves to die. But what Cain did was chase him, shooting randomly and dangerously, putting many others in danger, and shot the pedo’s father by accident. I don’t blame Cain a bit for his reaction and my only regret here is that the bullet hit the pedo’s dad and not the pedo. But Cain did break the law, regardless of how justified he was, and thus, gets punished. He’s already served 1,283 days awaiting trial and will be credited for that, but he still has to do 542 days in prison. That part is wrong. He should be given probation at worst and set free. Yes, he broke the law, but he already did over three years in jail for that. That was more than enough. I heard that there is already a petition for President Trump to commute his sentence. I don’t know if that’s true, but I hope so. Cain only did what any decent parent would do in that situation. He deserves to be released and with his family.

Triple Threat: Bron Breakker versus Scott “Flash” Norton versus Mike Awesome. Who wins?

What an amazing match this would be. Breakker has all the tools but is still learning and getting better every day. Scott Norton didn’t get much credit in the United States, but he was a legend in Japan and a power-machine second to none. And Mike Awesome? His name speaks for itself. Three legends and all-time greats in one match. It’s a tough call because I can make an argument for each man to win. My guess, after all the smoke is settled, is Scott Norton as the winner.

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And with that, let’s wrap it up. Take care and be well, my friends. Watch out for foreign objects, and I’ll see you at the matches.
