Welcome to the show. It’s the only pro wrestling Q&A that matters. You have questions and I have answers. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug, your party host and Guiding Light. Are you ready? Let’s do this.
The Warlord versus Davey Boy Smith. Who wins?
This would be a good match between two well-known powerhouses. Davey Boy was the bigger star and with most promoters, would get the pinfall victory. But he would know that he had been in a match.
Who does Bron Breakker remind you of more, his dad or his uncle?
Easily, his Uncle Scott. Look at Scott in the early pre-Big Poppa Pump days, and then look at Bron. The similarities are amazing.
It’s official. Saraya announced on the debut episode of her podcast, Rulebreakers with Saraya, that she and AEW have parted ways. So, what’s next? Thoughts?
If WWE does go through with the Evolution PLE in a few months, I can easily see Paige making a cameo or one-shot appearance. But aside from that, I think her future lies in podcasting and being a memory. She has little left to offer the current WWE product in my opinion except for nostalgia.
Mina Shirakawa officially announced her departure from STARDOM and her move to AEW. Thoughts?
Another talent to be brought in from Japan pushed for a few weeks, and then forgotten about as nobody who doesn’t follow Japan knows who she is, nor cares. I hope she’s getting a nice payday from this move, but aside from that, it’s not a big deal.
Where is Tamina? Has she retired or been released by the WWE? I can’t remember the last time I saw her mentioned or on television.
According to the WWE website, she’s still a part of the roster, so I guess that she’s sitting at home waiting for Creative to come up with something for her. The benefits of being a family member with you-know-who. I’d actually like to see WWE bring her in to act as the Rock’s advocate when he’s not there and maybe accompany John Cena to the ring. She could be used in so many ways, yet all WWE does is just leave her at home and send her a paycheck. Crazy!
If Cena wins the title at WrestleMania 41, who should be the rightful guy to dethrone him?
If Cena wins the belt, he probably won’t hold it for very long. As for who should dethrone him, the answer is obvious. CM Punk.
Which Marvel character would be the best wrestler?
Right off the top of my head, the Avenger and Greek demi-god, Hercules, was the first name that came to mind. And of course, Ben Grimm, aka The Thing. He was a wrestler in the comics for a while. It’s Clobbering Time!
Stevie Turner is the new General Manager of WWE Evolve. Thoughts?
I was watching as this was announced and my first reaction was, “Who?”. I guess that WWE sees something in Turner as a character and wants to push and elevate her without exposing her in the ring, much as they’ve done with Ava at NXT. That’s their call and we can watch and see how Turner grows and develops in this role.
Do you think WWE should hold a match from Evolve at WrestleMania?
I would like to see some of the wrestlers from Evolve represented at WrestleMania, even if it’s just sitting at ringside or in a backstage cameo. I’ve seen several talents on Evolve who are showing great potential and will be major names someday. If nothing else, put a few Evolve talents in the Andre the Giant Battle Royal on Smackdown the night before Mania. Just make sure that they’re represented and given some love.
Timothy Thatcher is back and wrestled at Evolve. Do you think he’ll be back in NXT or on the main roster with WWE?
I hope that a return to the WWE is in his future at some point. Thatcher will be facing Pete Dunne at Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport event later this month. Thatcher reminds me of Dunne so much in the way they wrestle and present themselves. They’d make an amazing tag team. Thatcher is a damn good wrestler and in-ring talent. I hope WWE sees this and takes notice.
And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And with that, let’s wrap it up. Take care and be well, my friends. Watch out for foreign objects, and I’ll see you at the matches.
