Welcome to the show. It’s the only pro wrestling Q&A that matters. You have questions and I have answers. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug, your party host and Guiding Light. Are you ready? Let’s do this.
Kevin Owens needs neck surgery and is out of WrestleMania. Thoughts?
This is major bad news for Owens and sucks big time. Kevin has such a stiff style, especially over the past few years, that injury was inevitable, but that doesn’t make it suck any less. Best wishes to Kevin for a safe speedy, painless recovery.
With Owens out of action, Randy Orton has no match for WrestleMania. Who should Randy face at the show?
Given the final few moments of Orton’s segment on Smackdown, the answer is obvious. Former NWA World Champion and current Smackdown General Manager Nick Aldis. It would be an epic match and makes sense.
The favor has been revealed. CM Punk will have Paul Heyman in his corner at WrestleMania 41. Thoughts?
And now, will Heyman stick with Punk and allow him to win the match? Or will Heyman aid his Tribal Chief? The questions are there and things for the triple-threat main event at WrestleMania have just gotten even more interesting.
It’s Jade Cargill versus Naomi at WrestleMania. Thoughts?
This is either going to be very good or very bad. Naomi is the perfect person to carry Jade to a strong match and it’s obvious that Naomi is loving this heel character. This match is a big F-U to everyone who makes claims about how racist Triple H allegedly is. Naomi in a singles match at WrestleMania was never on my bingo card.
For the U.S. Championship, LA Knight versus Jacob Fatu at WrestleMania. Thoughts?
The transformation of Jacob Fatu into a major top guy continues. This should be an excellent match for the fans at Mania, and it will be nice to see Fatu wearing Championship gold.
Charlotte Flair and Tiffany Stratton allegedly went off script with personal comments during their confrontation on Smackdown. WWE has pulled and edited the segment in the video replays, deleting the more personal comments. Thoughts?
I hate that WWE felt the need to edit the remarks by Tiffany about Charlotte’s divorces, and Charlotte’s comeback about Tiffany’s boyfriend, Ludwig Kaiser, but I can understand why they did it. Charlotte was flustered and lost, and it made her look bad. My own opinion is that the shoot comments make it more real and believable and add to the build for their match, but I guess WWE doesn’t agree. Tiffany seemed to thrive in that altercation and it helped improve her standing in my eyes. It’ll be interesting to see how this develops.
Is David Otunga still with WWE?
Otunga’s last appearance for WWE was in August 2019, so I think it’s safe to say that he’s no longer part of WWE.
With Asuka now medically cleared for a return, and Kairi Sane expected to be cleared soon, should the two women return to WWE together as the Kabuki Warriors and challenge for the Women’s Tag Team Championship, or should they both make their return as singles stars with different return dates?
Asuka is getting older and while she is more than capable of having great matches as a singles wrestler, I think that maybe having Asuka and Saine back together as the Kabuki Warriors and primarily as a tag team makes the most sense. The tag team roster for WWE Women is better than it used to be, but it’s still not great. A triple-threat feud with Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez, Chelsea Green & Piper Niven, and The Kabuki Warriors sounds like major money just asking to be made. I’d go with the tag team route with Asuka and Kairi to start, and things can be altered as needed as time goes on.
Where is Jungle Jack Perry? Is he injured or just in AEW limbo?
Jack Perry is currently working for New Japan Pro Wrestling. His last AEW appearance was in January at Wrestle Dynasty, although he remains under contract with AEW.
You’re replacing all of the women on The View with female wrestling personalities. Who will be on the show?
Five smart, opinionated women of professional wrestling, with a variety of opinions and views? I’d go with Lilian Garcia, Missy Hyatt, Awesome Kong, Vickie Guerrero, and Lisa “Ivory” Moretti. And let the fireworks begin.
