Welcome to the show. It’s the only pro wrestling Q&A that matters. You have questions and I have answers. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug, your party host and Guiding Light. Are you ready? Let’s do this.

What would you consider to be the single BEST booking decision that Triple H has made since taking over WWE Creative?

I would say bringing back CM Punk is probably the best decision. Punk has been excellent since his return and his popularity continues to grow if that’s possible. Welcoming Punk back to the WWE was a great move, truly best for business.

Who would make a better podcast host? Bobby Heenan, Dusty Rhodes, or Jerry Lawler?

Bobby Heenan. As great as Dusty and Lawler are, and they would make great guests, Bobby Heenan is intelligent, quick-witted, and would be perfect in the role of podcaster. He may even be better than Cornette in a role like that, and that’s saying something.

Which cage match did you enjoy more: Will Ospreay vs. Kyle Fletcher or CM Punk vs. Seth Rollins?

I didn’t watch the entire Ospreay versus Fletcher match. What I did see, I was not impressed. The Punk versus Seth match was far better.

What are your thoughts on Santana Jackson?

I had to look up the name as to who this even was, but once I did, I recognized him. I’ve seen a few of his matches on YouTube. Jackson is a Michael Jackson impersonator who just happens to wrestle and incorporate dancing, moonwalking, and many Jacksonesque moves into his wrestling style and routine. And he’s interesting. In my opinion, he’s a comedy wrestler whose very gimmick kills the business. As a fan of Michael Jackson, I appreciate his dedication and homage to the King of Pop, but as a wrestling fan, it makes me cringe. The man has talent, but unlike many other former comedy wrestlers, like Orange Cassidy for example, he’ll never be mainstream, nor does he deserve to be.

Ludwig Kaiser versus Cactus Jack. Who wins?

What a contrast in styles this would be. It could be a great match or a total disaster. It’s hard to tell. A tough call here, but I think Cactus Jack should win.

What’s your take on Anthony Bowens’ return to AEW?

He returned to AEW Dynasty to challenge and defeat his former partner, Max Caster. I guess it’s time for the former partners to feud for a while. This may be good and give both men some needed television time. Welcome back, Bowens.

Are you hoping to see The Young Bucks back in AEW soon, or do you think they’re better off behind the scenes?

The Young Bucks made their return during the main event of AEW Dynasty and helped Jon Moxley defeat Swerve Strickland. I wish they had just stayed away. This makes no sense as to why they’d help Moxley. But then again, making sense doesn’t matter, I suppose. Maybe we’ll luck up and they’ll leave again soon. One can only hope.

In your opinion, is LA Knight a top guy, a mid-carder, or a jobber who’s been lucky to have a job?

Knight is a good wrestler, but I don’t really get it or him. I don’t see the appeal. He’s mid-card at best. Yeah!

What are your thoughts on Jack Gallagher?

Gentleman Jack Gallagher was a Cruiserweight who wrestled for WWE for a few years, doing the English Gentleman gimmick, and some very creative moves involving an umbrella. He was unique and very entertaining in the ring. In 2020, during the so-called Speaking Out movement, Gallagher faced allegations and was released from WWE the same day that these allegations became public. He has not wrestled since. So, as a wrestler, he was good. As a person, not so much. But I enjoyed watching him in the ring. The man had some skills.

Recast the TV series MAS*H but with WWE superstars, past and present.

Okay, this should be interesting. Let’s go with the characters of Hawkeye, BJ Hunnicutt, Col. Potter, Frank Burns, Major Hoolihan, Radar, Klinger, and Father Mulcahy. Playing the lead roles of Hawkeye and BJ, I’d go with The Miz & Randy Orton. Col. Potter would be played by Adam Pearce. For Frank and Margaret, let’s go with Seth and Charlotte Flair. Radar, Klinger, and The Father would be JD McDonagh, Dominik Mysterio, and Karrion Kross. And there you go.

Ernie Ladd, John Studd & Ivan Koloff versus The Hurt Syndicate (Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin, Cedric Alexander). Who wins?

As good and dominant as the Hurt Syndicate is, my money would be on The Big Cat, Ernie Ladd, Big John Studd, and The Russian Bear, Ivan Koloff. The legends for the win.

And there you go. Thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and questions are welcome and appreciated. Reach me by e-mail at Doug28352@yahoo.com or on X at @Doug28352.
