Welcome to the show. It’s the only pro wrestling Q&A that matters. You have questions and I have answers. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug, your party host and Guiding Light. Are you ready? Let’s do this.
Tammy Sytch lost the civil suit and has been ordered to pay $5,000,000 to the estate of Julian Lasseter, the man she killed in 2022. Thoughts?
It should have been more. I realize it’s a moot point since Tammy will most likely never pay a cent of this judgment, but she killed a man and has no remorse. She made her bed and now has consequences that will hang over her for the rest of her life, as they should. I feel for the family of Julian Lasseter, but this is at least a start in getting some justice.
Erik and Ivar, The War Raiders versus The Powers of Pain, The Warlord and The Barbarian. Who wins?
Erik and Ivar are an impressive team for sure but against The Warlord and The Barbarian? They’re going down! The Powers of Pain win.
Why doesn’t Carlito wrestle? He takes bumps and interferes in matches for Judgment Day, but I can’t remember the last time he actually had a match. Why?
Carlito doesn’t wrestle often, but the bumps he takes regularly, such as those spears from Bron Breaker, it can be overlooked. Carlito, at this point, is more of a character than an actual full-time performer. I haven’t heard of any serious injuries, but given as long as he’s been wrestling, I’m sure some minor nagging aches and pains make their presence known. I guess that less is more and Carlito can wrestle if needed, but has a different role, for now, to help draw heat for Judgment Day.
Paul Heyman says that he is and will always be loyal to both CM Punk and Roman Reigns. So, what will he be doing at WrestleMania 41 to be able to remain loyal to both men?
That’s the big question and we’ll have to wait and see what happens at WrestleMania. And where does Seth fit into all of this? That’s the build and story. We just need to be patient to see where it goes.
What are your thoughts on Chad Gable having a WrestleMania match under the moniker El Grande Americano against Rey Mysterio?
I love it. Too bad this isn’t a mask versus mask match, but it’s still good to see Gable will be at WrestleMania. He deserves it.
When European crowds booed Bianca Belair, some folks in the IWC called it racism. Now that American crowds are doing the same, is it still racism, or just part of the show?
It’s just part of the show. Bianca has been displaying more and more heel mannerisms as of late and is doing the subtle turn. Fans are picking up on that and reacting accordingly. It’s not racism, but just pro wrestling. ‘Nuff said!
Is it time to end Judgement Day?
Nope. Judgment Day still has a long way to go with a lot of gas left in the tank. Even with Finn and Dominik having spats, Liv, Raquel, and Carlito are still there, and JD will be returning soon as well. The Judgment Day story is just getting started.
Drew McIntyre says storytelling and emotion are more important than in-ring wrestling skills. “If you’re having a great wrestling match and no one gives a damn, then what’s the point? They need to care about the reasons why you’re having the match.” Thoughts?
What more needs to be said? He’s 100% correct. People remember the words, the promos, the story. The matches are just the ends of the means, the punctuation at the end of the story. Nothing more.
Is Paul Heyman the greatest talker in pro wrestling history?
Paul Heyman is a great talker. No one can dispute that. But the GOAT? I’m sure Jim Cornette, Dusty Rhodes, Bobby Heenan, Ric Flair, CM Punk, and roughly about a million others might tend to disagree.
What do you think of the final lineup for this year’s WWE HOF?
The current final listing for the WWE Hall of Fame is Triple H, Michelle McCool, The Natural Disasters, The Austin-Bret match, and Lex Luger. And it’s kind of underwhelming at best. The names listed are okay, but so many others are being ignored or forgotten. It could have been a banner year for the WWE Hall of Fame, but unless a couple of more major names are added within the next week or so, it’s only”Eh!” at best!
The WWE ID Championship will be defended at independent events against independent wrestlers. So, the King of the Indies, Matt Cardona should be getting a shot, right?
The way I understand it, that is a very distinct possibility. Let’s hope that WWE is thinking the same way.
