Welcome to the show. It’s the only pro wrestling Q&A that matters. You have questions and I have answers. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug, your party host and Guiding Light. Are you ready? Let’s do this.

What wrestler do you think was the best on the mic, while being horrible in the ring and vice versa, terrible on the mic, but gold in the ring?

A great talker, but a lousy wrestler? Michael Hayes, the leader of the Fabulous Freebirds, is the first name that comes to mind. As for a bad talker, but a great wrestler, look no further than Beautiful Bobby Eaton. He was one of the best wrestlers in history, but without Jim Cornette to handle the talking, he would never have been a major star.

Jeff Cobb is coming to WWE. What brand should he be assigned to, and who should his first feud be against?

When Cobb makes his WWE debut, I think he’d be best to go to NXT first, to learn the WWE system and establish his name with the WWE audience. And then to Smackdown, where I’d have him work with Shinsuke Nakamura. A fight with Cobb versus Roman Reigns would be excellent as well.

How would you describe Adam Copeland’s run in AEW? A success, a disappointment, or something else?

Adam Copeland’s AEW run has been a letdown since Day One and has only tarnished his legacy. There is no other way to describe it.

Becky Lynch recently announced that she’s done with professional wrestling for now, and has moved on. Thoughts?

Becky is hot on the Hollywood scene right now and is exploring other options. There is nothing wrong with that. When Becky is ready to come back and wrestle again, WWE will always have a place for her.

Michelle McCool did not have a HOF career. She barely had a wrestling career in general, and if she wasn’t married to The Undertaker, not a single wrestling fan would ever consider her for the HOF. Agree or disagree?

You laid it out very well, and everything that you said is true. Michelle does not belong in the WWE Hall of Fame, and if she wasn’t married to Taker, she would not be receiving this option.

Triple Threat Match: Jerry Lawler versus Matt Hardy versus Kane. Who wins?

It would all depend on where the match is happening. Lawler won’t win, but he won’t take the pin either. I think Matt is the best talent here, but a loss won’t hurt him in the slightest. Kane should win.

Allegedly, there were plans for TNA Champion Joe Hendry to feud with The Miz, but those plans were scrapped by TNA. Thoughts?

From what I understand, the plans had Miz going over Hendry and that’s what TNA had objections to. With that, I can understand why TNA said no. So, no Miz versus Hendry? But allegedly, the same plans are still in play with Ethan Page filling the role of the WWE invader and challenging Hendry. This new plan probably works out for the best.

Ryan Nemeth’s lawsuit against AEW is headed towards arbitration. Would you have rather seen a jury trial as Nemeth requested, or is this the correct way to handle issues between Nemeth and AEW?

All is working out as Nemeth was probably hoping. Instead of an actual trial, where a jury would laugh Nemeth out of the courtroom, to a private discussion where Nemeth will probably be paid to sign an NDA and go away. Tony Khan doesn’t want any bad publicity or news of the backstage drama at AEW getting out, and I’m sure that he’ll pay a nice chunk to keep the details quiet. An actual trial would have been fun to see, but this works out best for all parties involved.

Do you think WWE’s creative direction is stronger with Triple H at the helm? Or do you miss the chaos of Vince McMahon’s reign?

Triple H runs a strong product and more organized business. WWE is far better off with Vince removed from the company.

Do you think Chelsea Green should defend her title at WrestleMania 41? Or is WWE blowing a major opportunity?

Chelsea Green is not only the inaugural Women’s United States Champion but is also one of the most entertaining talents currently in WWE. She should be wrestling a match and defending her title at WrestleMania. Hopefully, she’ll at least have a promo or make some kind of appearance or a spot during the show. Chelsea deserves it.
