Welcome to the show. It’s the only pro wrestling Q&A that matters. You have questions and I have answers. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug, your party host and Guiding Light. Are you ready? Let’s do this.
Sarah Stock, aka Sarita, who was an agent/trainer for AEW, is no longer with the company. So, what’s next for Sarita? Back to WWE, TNA, AAA, or something else?
Sarita was a top name in TNA, as well as AAA, so maybe a return to the ring is in the future. It could also be a return to WWE and the PC as a trainer. We’ll just have to wait and see what’s next. With all the recent expansions by WWE, a strong and experienced trainer/agent is always welcome.
Lyra Valkyria and Becky Lynch lost the Women’s Tag Team Championship to Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez on RAW, and then after the match, Becky gave Valkyria a beatdown. Thoughts?
The angle was kind of rushed, but it served its purpose and Becky is now a strong heel in a company that needs strong female heels. We’ll now get to see some great matches between Becky and Lyra to help build up Lyra as a character, possibly some matches between Becky and Bayley when Bayley returns from her “injuries”, and there is nothing wrong with either of those. I’d like to see Becky join her husband, Seth Rollins, and Bron Breakker, under the umbrella of Paul Heyman. That would be the next logical move.
Bron Breakker helped out Seth against Roman Reigns and CM Punk, and apparently now a Paul Heyman guy. Thoughts?
Breakker aligned with Heyman and Seth? I like it. Is this a new Dangerous Alliance? I’m not sure, but if that’s the plan, it works well for me. This is the huge step to the next level that Breakker needs. I’m glad to see it happening.
Now that Becky Lynch is a heel, would you like to see her, Seth Rollins, and Bron Breakker together as part of a new Paul Heyman’s Dangerous Alliance? Who else would you add to the faction?
Didn’t I just answer this? I love this new Alliance between Seth, Bron, and Heyman, and Becky would be a welcome addition. As for who else might fit in well with this group, Andrade and Austin Theory both come to mind. Andrade has enough credibility but works best in a group, so he’d be a good fit. As for Theory, this would move him from comedy worker to top guy, much like Judgment Day has done for Dominik Mysterio, plus it gives this new faction a weak link, to take the falls, etc.
Rusev is back and destroyed the Alpha Academy. Thoughts?
It was a by-the-numbers beatdown, but it was fun to see. And it happened on Rusev Day as well. Imagine that. Rusev versus Otis could be a good match for a future event. It was cool to see. I’m happy that Rusev is back.
Main Event Jey Uso versus The Living Legend Larry Zbyszko. Who wins?
Jey has moved into the main event, and is he a talented wrestling superstar? YEET! But is he a living legend? Jey would dominate the match, controlling most of the action, but in the end, Larry would be the sneaky heel and steal a win. Zbyszko wins.
Gunther attacks Michael Cole and then lays out Pat McAfee. Does this mean Gunther versus McAfee on a PLE? Thoughts?
Most likely, that will be the plan. And I’m looking forward to it. Good publicity for the WWE, plus it gives Gunther a strong feud to participate in before going back after Jey Uso again. Pat is the perfect opponent for Gunther, and this should be a fun program to watch.
The WWE Universal Championship is now listed as Retired on the WWE website. Thoughts?
I don’t really have any thoughts. It hasn’t been mentioned in quite a while, and out of sight, out of mind. It’s not a big deal.
Sami Zayn returned to RAW last night to congratulate Jey Uso on winning the World Championship. How long do you think it will be before Sami turns on Jey and tries to take the belt?
Jey will need a good feud and strong matches, with a strong story, to keep the interest in his reign as the World Champion. Sami Zayn is the perfect person for this role. They have a strong history, and great chemistry, and the matches will be very good. Sami versus Jey is a great move by WWE.
Cathy Kelley has been training at the Performance Center, learning to take bumps, wrestle, and cut a promo. Would you be interested in seeing Kelley as a valet, manager, or wrestler?
Cathy Kelley is a talented woman with a good presence and, strong personality, and does well in her job as an interviewer. If she wants to expand her character and WWE is good with that, good for her. It’ll be interesting to see her develop and grow as a performer in WWE.
Regarding his no-show at WrestleMania 41, The Rock says he wanted to step out of the spotlight and let all the spotlight be on John Cena & Cody Rhodes.
It’s a cop-out answer and The Rock is full of crap. If Dwayne can’t commit to a storyline and be available to see it through, he doesn’t need to bother with WWE at all. He shit on WWE, WrestleMania, and both Cena/Cody with this crap. When has The Rock ever wanted to “step out of the spotlight”? The answer? Never!
