Welcome to the show. It’s the only pro wrestling Q&A that matters. You have questions, and I have answers. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug, your party host and Guiding Light. Are you ready? Let’s do this.

Dylan Postl, aka Hornswoggle, announced that he is ending his podcast, Going Postl, and going on hiatus to deal with real life. Thoughts?

Swoggle says it’s only temporary as he has to take a break and deal with real life for a while. Best wishes to you, Dylan, for a great show, and I look forward to your return.

Steve Mongo McMichael has passed away. Thoughts?

For the past five years, Mongo has been a man trapped in a useless body that failed more every week. I’m glad the suffering has finally concluded. Prayers and love to family, friends, and fans of Steve ‘Mongo’ McMichael. May he forever rest in peace.

Tony Atlas turned 71 today. What are your thoughts on Atlas?

Wrestling’s Black Superman. I remember first seeing Tony back in Crockettin probably ’78 or ’79. He had just started wrestling and was a bodybuilding champion, Mr. USA. The man was jacked! And from there, Tony would move to Georgia, the WWF, and everywhere in between. Tony was never a great wrestler, but he always stood out and could draw an audience. Unfortunately, his lack of education, as well as other demons, controlled most of his career, and he had a rough time for most of it. Now, from what I understand, he found his personal guardian angel and is now straight and clean, so at least it’s a happy ending.

Stokley Hathaway is the new agent for FTR. Thoughts?

Hathaway and FTR is an odd combination, but who else is there in AEW that could fill that role and help make FTR into stronger, proficient heels? At least Hathaway can talk. It’ll be interesting to see where all of this goes.

Is the idea of MJF joining the Hurt Syndicate growing on you?

To see MJF join The Hurt Syndicate, only to turn on them in the end and end up fighting Lashley over a gold belt? That works for me.

Would you like to see Logan Paul join Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker as part of the Paul Heyman Alliance?

Logan Paul is an interesting name, but while it would work on paper, for a little while anyhow, I can’t see it working out well overall. Logan doesn’t need the Heyman team, and I think a different talent would work better in the overall picture of things. An occasional alliance with Paul as needed would be okay, but Logan as a full-time member of Heyman’s group? No to that.

The New Day, Xavier Woods & Kofi Kingston versus Tully Blanchard & Arn Anderson versus Pat Patterson & Ray Stevens. Who wins?

Three of the best tag teams of three different eras would be an incredible match for the fans and the wrestlers involved as well. I remember watching Arn and Tully very well, and we all know what your boys, The New Day, can do. I’ve only seen Patterson and Stevens a few times via old video, but I’ve heard the stories, plus I saw Stevens wrestle many times in the twilight of his career. If he was that good as an old man, just imagine what he would have been ten years earlier when he and Pat were teaming. A fantastic match. It’s a tough call, but I think Arn and Tully would find the way and steal the win,

Whatever happened to Scott Hall’s son, Cody? He was training to be a pro wrestler and taking bookings but has vanished since Scott passed away.

According to Kevin Nash, Cody broke his neck while wrestling in Japan, and between attempting to recover from that, plus the death of his father, Scott Hall, Cody is trying to keep his life together and is retired from wrestling. His last match was for Pro Wrestling NOAH in Japan in 2019.

Would you want to see Oba Femi vs. John Cena before Cena retires? Or should Cena stick to facing his old rivals?

Femi versus Cena would be a great match to see and a great rub for Femi, but given the limited number of dates available for Cena to work during his final year, I doubt it will ever happen. Cena will probably stick to old rivals and wrap up old business, as he probably should.

During WrestleMania week, Wardlow met with WWE officials and had a conversation. So, Wardlow to WWE? If so, what brand, and who would you like to see him feud against?

Wardlow would be a great addition to the WWE roster, although given how deep the current roster is now, he may get lost in the shuffle for a while before really breaking out. But, if Wardlow was brought to WWE, was healthy, and I had the call, he’d show up on RAW as the newest associate of Paul Heyman, Bron Breakker, and Seth Rollins. He would be excellent in that role and an instant star. Wardlow versus CM Punk, with who he has a history in AEW, would be money just waiting to be made. Wardlow versus Damian Priest would be excellent as well.
