Welcome to the show. It’s the only pro wrestling Q&A that matters. You have questions, and I have answers. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug, your party host and Guiding Light. Are you ready? Let’s do this.
Did Sami make the correct choice?
For the sake of having a match and the story, he did. But, in the real world, the right choice would have been to go to Smackdown and get the championship match against either Cena or Orton. After that title opportunity, return to RAW and cause problems for Seth and his friends. No one would blame Sami for taking advantage of an opportunity and looking out for himself for a change.
Would you like to see CM Punk and Batista make a buddy movie together?
CM Punk recently spoke about this, and I think it would be fun to see. Two men with good on-screen presence working together for our entertainment. That’s never a bad thing, right?
Carmella and Corey Graves are expecting their second child. Thoughts?
Congratulations to Carmella and Corey. And I guess this proves that WWE was right to not renew Carmella’s contract. She was out of wrestling for nearly three years between having her first child and injuries and then got mad because her contract wasn’t renewed. And now, she’s pregnant again, so if WWE had renewed the deal, they’d be on the hook to pay her again for another year while she can’t work. WWE dodged a huge bullet with this one.
Who do you want to see Rusev feud with now that he’s back in WWE?
He’s using the Redeemer gimmick so I’m not sure if he’s going to be a heel or a face, but matches against Ludwig Kaiser could be fun to see. Rusev versus Bron Breakker at some point could be good, and hell, The Bulgarian Brute versus The Ring General, Gunther. All three feuds could be fun.
Do you think Logan Paul has proven himself a legitimate WWE Superstar, or does the “YouTuber” label still fit?
Logan is putting the time in the ring and on WWE television. He’s paying his dues, and I think he’s as legit a WWE star as anyone else on the roster.
Asuka versus Luna Vachon. Who wins?
Luna had a great character and for her era, was solid in the ring. But Asuka and the women of today are, in general, better overall workers. It would be a tremendous match. Both women would be stretched to the limit. I think the Empress of Tomorrow, Asuka, would get the win.
Would you like to see Heels return for a third season on Netflix?
I’ve only watched a few episodes. I’m in the middle of a ‘Shameless’ binge right now, but when I finish with that show, ‘Heels’ is on my list. And Season 3, based on what I’ve seen so far, would be pretty cool.
How do you feel about Paul Heyman siding with Seth Rollins instead of staying loyal to CM Punk?
Paul made a trip to the island of relevancy and did what Paul Heyman needed to do. Who am I to doubt the Wise Man?
Kenny Omega versus Tama Tonga. Who would you rather go barhopping with?
For some reason, I don’t think Kenny Omega is much of a bar-hopping guy, or at least not to the kind of bars that I like and prefer. Tama Tonga is a damn nut, funny, and personable as hell. He might be a little wild at times, given who his father is and his father’s legacy in adult establishments, but it would be one memorable experience. Tama Tonga for sure.
A remake of Charlie’s Angels, but you get the pick a cast, using wrestlers. Who are your choices?
The women of WWE as Charlie’s Angels? Really? Really? Oy vey! To play the role of Bosley, the lone male of the series, I’d go with The Miz. As for the Angels themselves, I’d go with Bayley as Sabrina, the role made famous by Kate Jackson. Kelly, the Jacklyn Smith role, would be played by Raquel Rodriguez. For the role of Jill, played by Farrah Fawcett Majors, I’d throw Liv Morgan into the mix. And finally, for the role of Kris, played by Cheryl Ladd, I’d use Tiffany Stratton. And lastly, for the voice of Charlie, let’s go with the boss, Triple H.
