Welcome to the show. It’s the only pro wrestling Q&A that matters. You have questions, and I have answers. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug, your party host and Guiding Light. Are you ready? Let’s do this.
Trade Proposal: Chris Jericho to WWE and Damian Priest to AEW. Yes or no?
Nope. Damian Priest has a big future ahead of him and will be a major player for WWE for many years to come. Jericho, albeit a legend, has long passed his best years and is in the twilight of his career. WWE doesn’t need him.
Greatest Canadian wrestler ever?
It’s a tough call with names like Christian, Edge, Chelsea Greene, Mike Sharpe, Chris Benoit, Chris Jericho, Angelo Mosca, Jos LeDuc, Mad Dog Vachon, and so many others. I guess I’ll just take the easy answer here. Bret “The Hitman” Hart.
If Brock Lesnar hadn’t ended the streak, who truly deserved to?
Looking at the roster of WWE in 2014, when the streak ended, my alternate choice would be (drum roll please) Jack Swagger. As for why, he had Zeb Colter, aka Dutch Mantell, as his manager. And it would be so cool to hear Dutch bragging about “My client, Jack Swagger, ended the streak! We the People!”.
Do you like Triple H’s booking?
There are some things that I don’t agree with or would do differently, but for the most part, the answer would be yes. Yes, I do.
Former NXT talent Cora Jade is starting an OnlyFans. Will you be signing up?
I saw this, but I think it’s just a joke and an unfounded rumor. Jade is a good-looking woman, and as Mandy Rose has shown, there is an audience for former wrestlers and money to be made with OnlyFans. But I think Jade will stick with wrestling. I might be wrong, but I think she had a big future ahead of her and will be back in the WWE at some point.
Do you think Shelton Benjamin was right to speak out at Hulk Hogan?
Hogan is a racist, a liar, and a hypocrite. He mentioned Benjamin Shelton first, so yes, Shelton had every right to respond and did exactly that.
Do you want to see The Righteous show up in WWE, possibly with Karrion Kross?
I wasn’t really impressed during their time in AEW/ROH, but then again, they were rarely featured, so who knows what they’re capable of under a real promoter and booker. The Righteous and Karrion Kross together? Sure, why not?
Do you think R-Truth should start thinking about retirement, or is he right to ride the wave until the universe tells him otherwise?
R-Truth is a national treasure, and he should listen to his body, do whatever he wants to do, and ride it out for as long as he wants. Truth may be older than most of the roster, but he looks twenty years younger, is in tremendous shape, and works a schedule where he’s more talk than actual bumps. At this point, he could easily go another ten years. And I hope that he does.
Joe Hendry & The Hardy Boys will be representing TNA at AAA’s TripleMania in June. Thoughts?
TripleMania will feature stars from WWE, NXT, and TNA, as well as the usual suspects from AAA. It’s going to be a major event worthy of the name and very exciting to watch. I’m hoping that it streams on Peacock or Netflix and is available for viewing here in the U.S. It’s going to be good.
Would you like to see R-Truth face John Cena in the ring? Do you think WWE should make it happen, or is it too late for that match?
It has to happen at some point, and I hope that WWE does make it happen. Or have Cena and Truth team up. Just put these two men together in the ring already.
