Welcome to the show. It’s the only pro wrestling Q&A that matters. You have questions, and I have answers. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug, your party host and Guiding Light. Are you ready? Let’s do this.

Why does WWE have post-show press conferences?

WWE does them because AEW does them, and how does that old saying go? Anything they can do, I can do better. They don’t really serve any positive purpose that I can see.

Jonathan Coachman says Bayley is washed up. “She’s boring. She’s nothing anymore.” Is Coachman right?

Jonathan Coachman hasn’t been relevant in a long, long time, if ever. Bayley is an important part of the WWE Women’s Division and is far from washed up or nothing. Coachman is wrong with this opinion.

Who should Goldberg’s final opponent be in WWE?

All roads seem to be leading to Gunther.

Rather than taking full control of AAA Lucha Libre, WWE only owns 51% of the company, according to recent reports. Thoughts?

51% is majority ownership, and they still control the company and can do whatever they please. 51% or 99%, majority rules.

Who do you think is the right woman to dethrone Tiffany Stratton?

I think the longest-running woman to hold the Women’s United States Championship would make a great WWE Women’s Champion as well. Chelsea Green should, in my opinion, be the one.

What would Bret’s career look like without the mule kick? How does he fit in with the dying days of WCW? And does he end up being back in the fed?

Bret would continue to wrestle and be misused by WCW until the day they folded. When WWE took over, Bret would go home, collect a paycheck from Time Warner as many others did, and ride it out for a few years before finally making amends with Vince and returning to the WWE for a few years before finally retiring.

Which YouTube channel of an ex-wrestler do you think is best? (I
really like Stevie Richards.)

Stevie Richards is damn good, as is his WSI Associate, Dutch Mantell. Maven has a really good show, and the Undertaker’s show, while it lasted, was excellent. The best one, though, is still Jim Cornette.

If you could make anyone the World champion, one for AEW, one for WWE, based purely on your love of them as a wrestler, who would you pick?

For the WWE, I would bring back and anoint Matt Cardona, the Indy God, as the undisputed WWE Champion. And for AEW, the man at the top of the mountain would be a returning Alan Angels, who would play hot potato with the title, and Aaron Solow a few times before settling down to a long and prosperous reign as the AEW World Champion.

What do you think are the all-time best/most lasting t-shirt designs in pro wrestling? Obvious would be the nWo, and Austin 3:16, but I think the Punk Best in the World Ringer and even the classic Hulkamania are up there?

An all-time great is one by Greg Valentine back in the late ’70s that still stands out even today. It simply said, “I Broke Wahoo’s Leg”. The shirts from the nWo, DX, and Austin 3:16 are still popular today, as you said. And the 4 Horsemen shirts with the symbol of excellence are always a crowd favorite, too.

Next 5 men’s and women’s world champions in each company, if everything worked out with no injuries?

For the WWE, the current World Champion is Jey Uso. The next five champions after Jey, in my opinion, will be Seth Rollins, Jey Uso, Seth Rollins, CM Punk, and Bron Breakker. For the women, the current WWE Women’s Champion is Iyo Sky. I think, after Iyo, it goes to Rhea Ripley, Bianca Belair, Asuka, Liv Morgan, and Rhea Ripley. For the AEW World Championship, the current champion is Jon Moxley. I think we go, after Moxley, to Samoa Joe, Swerve Strickland, Jon Moxley, Darby Allin, and Ricochet. For the AEW Women’s Championship, the current champion is Toni Storm. After Toni, we go to Kris Statlander, Toni, Mercedes Mone, Dakota Kai, and Toni Storm.
