Welcome to the show. It’s the only pro wrestling Q&A that matters. You have questions, and I have answers. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug, your party host and Guiding Light. Are you ready? Let’s do this.
Of these four, who is the greatest heel in WWE: Vince McMahon, Kane, Randy Orton, or Triple H?
It’s not even close. Based on both his character plus his real-life behind-the-scenes behavior, it’s Vince McMahon. No one else is even close.
I HAVE to ask—if they are releasing talents they aren’t using, why wasn’t Tamina released?
Sometimes, it’s very beneficial to have relatives in the right places. For both Tamina and Ava, being related to The Rock has been very helpful in their wrestling careers.
The Miz has challenged Tyrese Haliburton to a wrestling match. Thoughts?
Haliburton is a successful NBA player, but he’s not a wrestler. I’m sure he could be coached and trained to participate in a match. I think Miz is just seeing a potential future paycheck.
Recast the TV series, The Golden Girls, but with WWE wrestlers.
Are any of the current WWE women old enough? All the best women are too young to play a Golden Girl, and the ones that would be perfect are all dead. But I’ll use older former WWE talents to give this a shot. For the role of Dorothy, how about Madusa, who’s 62? To play Blanche, let’s use Ivory, who is now 63 years old. To play Sophia, use Linda McMahon. And finally, Rose would be played by Maria Kanellis.
Allegedly, WWE has come to an agreement with Braun Strowman where he will be used when needed, but will not be a full-time worker. Thoughts?
If true, this is probably the best deal for all parties involved. Strowman isn’t what he was, and yet still makes a tremendous amount of money. This new deal would allow Braun to still work for WWE as a special attraction, but also do independent spots and signings on his own. He still has the WWE rub, and they still have the Monster among Men to use when desired, but for far less money. It makes sense to me, and if true, it truly is what’s best for business.
CM Punk says he’d like to be part of Cena’s final run. Would you like to see Cena versus Punk one more time?
Given their history together, it makes sense that we’ll see something happen between Cena and Punk. I hope that it happens.
Will Ospreay says he doesn’t enjoy WWE. In the same interview, he said he could out-wrestle anyone on the WWE roster. Thoughts?
Ospreay is drinking Tony Khan’s Kool Aid and talking the company line and talking points. He’s making headlines and trying to stir the pot, and given that we’re talking about it, it’s working. I doubt even Ospreay believes what he’s saying. He’s just talking to be talking, and nothing more.
Velveteen Dream claims he’s still being talked about after not being on TV for five years. “Better promo, better body, and better work rate than all your favorites still on TV.” Thoughts?
Patrick Clark, aka The Velveteen Dream, is trying to generate some heat and hopefully create enough interest to get a deal with a major promotion. I guess that he feels enough time has passed that he can stir the pot, get some publicity, and all will be forgiven. It doesn’t seem to be working that way, though, and Clark is just alienating more people than bringing them to his side. The Velveteen Dream had his chances, and it was Clark’s own stupidity that led to his downfall. He needs to just give it up and go away already.
Joe Hendry will defend the TNA World Championship at WWE Battleground against Trick Williams, marking the first time a TNA Championship has been defended on a WWE PLE. Thoughts?
WWE believes in Joe Hendry. This is pretty cool to hear. Hendry and Williams should be a good match, and I’m glad it’ll be on Peacock, so I’ll have the chance to watch.
Chelsea Green says that she’s focusing on Tiffany Stratton and the WWE Women’s Championship. Thoughts?
It’ll be great to see Chelsea join the title chase and go after her first Women’s World Championship. Chelsea versus Tiffany should make for an entertaining feud and matches. This is a good booking move by the WWE. I’m glad to see it happening.
