The tradition continues as WWE presents NXT Battleground 2025, live from Tampa, Florida, on NBC, Peacock, and Netflix for international audiences on Sunday, May 25. This show airs directly opposite AEW Double or Nothing, but WWE says that’s just a coincidence. There is no conspiracy here. And once again, it’s time to attempt to guess what will and will not transpire. It’s prediction time. Let’s do this.

NXT Championship
Oba Femi (c) vs. Myles Borne.

Myles Borne is a Randy Orton look-alike who is partially deaf but talented in the ring. He was the surprise winner of a Battle Royal to determine the top contender for Femi’s title. This is his coming-of-age moment and first big break into the spotlight. I expect we’ll see Femi go out of his way to make Borne look like a million bucks. It should be a good match, but there is little doubt as to who the winner will be. Femi is Ric Flair and this is Sting at the first Clash of the Champions.

Winner and STILL NXT Champion: Oba Femi.

NXT Women’s Championship
Stephanie Vaquer (c) vs. Jordynne Grace.

So, does Vaquer keep the title and stay with NXT for a few more months, or does Grace have her big moment and reign dominant in NXT while Vaquer moves to the main roster? It’s a tough call, but this will be an excellent match. And I think we’ll see a new champion.

Winner and NEW NXT Women’s Champion: Jordynne Grace.

TNA World Championship
Joe Hendry (c) vs. Trick Williams.

I believe in Joe Hendry. And he’s keeping that belt.

Winner and STILL TNA Champion: Joe Hendry.

Tony D’Angelo vs. Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo.

I support the Family. I think D’Angelo should win this one.

Winner: Tony D’Angelo.

NXT Women’s North American Championship
Sol Ruca (c) vs. Kelani Jordan.

Sol only won this title a few weeks ago, and it’s way too early to give up the belt yet. This should be a fun match, but no title switches here.

Winner and STILL NXT Women’s North American Champion: Sol Ruca.

Hank and Tank (Hank Walker and Tank Ledger) and Josh Briggs vs. The Culling (Brooks Jensen, Niko Vance, and Shawn Spears) (with Izzi Dame).

Hank and Tank are the tag team champions so why are they in a six-man match? I get it. If The Culling wins, they’ll have an argument to make so the Rock’s grifting daughter can give them a title shot at a future event. It’ll be a fun match and probably wild, full of craziness and shenanigans. I think we’ll see the numbers game play out and The Culling will get the win.

Winners: The Culling (Brooks Jensen, Niko Vance, and Shawn Spears) with Izzi Dame.

And there you go with my predictions of what will happen Sunday night with the WWE/NXT. So, what are yours? Let me know, along with any other questions, comments, thoughts, etc. I’ll be back soon with more predictions for AEW Double or Nothing to round things out. Yeah, the old Magic 8-Ball is getting a workout this weekend. Thanks for reading and the continued support here at the site. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And I guess that’s all for now. I’ll see you at the matches.
