Welcome to the show. It’s the only pro wrestling Q&A that matters. You have questions, and I have answers. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug, your party host and Guiding Light. Are you ready? Let’s do this.
Would you like to see Wardlow back in AEW?
I think Wardlow is still on the roster, so technically, he’s already in AEW. He’s just waiting in wrestling limbo for someone in power to remember his phone number and bring him into a show. If they used him properly, I’d love to see Wardlow back and getting a major push.
What would your reaction be if WrestleMania 42 is in Saudi Arabia?
I think it’d be a bad move by WWE. I’d still watch, obviously, on Peacock or Netflix, but I’d be majorly disappointed in WWE.
Scott D’Amore says he tried to sign CM Punk to TNA after the AEW situation. Thoughts?
If this is true, D’Amore was doing what’s best for business trying to secure Punk for TNA, although it admittingly was a Hail Mary at best. If D’Amore hadn’t made a pitch and tried to get Punk, he wouldn’t have been doing his job.
Omos says that he’s ready to get back into the ring. So, why isn’t WWE using him?
I don’t get this at all. Omos has all the tools and, as Pro Wrestling NOAH proved, he can be a star and top guy. WWE is majorly dropping the ball with Omos. It makes no sense.
Ace Austin is leaving TNA. So, where do you think he’ll end up next?
I expect we’ll be seeing Austin jobbing for AEW and ROH soon enough.
What happened to Scorpio Sky in AEW?
He’s still a part of the AEW roster, but they’re just not using him. Scorpio recently commented that he doesn’t know why he’s not being used but thinks someone in power might have had their feelings hurt after an interview he did with Chris Van Vliet. I don’t get it at all. Just say that he’s the AEW version of Omos. He could be a major star, but AEW is truly dropping the ball.
AEW talents have now been officially banned from working for AAA. Thoughts?
WWE is the majority owner of AAA, so of course AEW will not allow their contracted talents to appear for or work for AAA. It’s just business.
What do you think about Goldberg’s retirement match possibly being held the same night as AEW All In?
It’s just a coincidence and nothing more. I just hope it’s a good match against a good opponent, most likely Gunther, and the right person wins.
Do you think 2 Cold Scorpio’s legacy will be overshadowed by his current legal troubles?
I don’t think most fans know or care about Scorpio’s current legal problems. He was working as a security guard and stabbed a guy who refused to put out a cigarette. This will all blow over eventually, and the memories of WCW, ECW, and yes, the time as Flash Funk in WWE, will soon be at the forefront of everyone’s minds once again. Scorpio will be okay.
Asked about Conor McGregor possibly coming to WWE, Lyra Valkyria replied, “He doesn’t have what it takes.” Is Valkyria right or do you think McGregor would do well in the WWE?
McGregor in WWE would be like Logan Paul and Brock Lesnar having a baby together, but not quite as entertaining. He has Brock-like skills in the ring, but a Logan-like persona. The schedule might not be to his liking, but I think he’d do fine in WWE.
